Shame Moore had to go. Was kind of excited to see a player of his presence in the squad and was useful at set pieces but he's obviously not part of the managers plans here. Was with us matter of weeks and never really allowed the time to show his ability or become established in the team. Would have like to see stay on a while longer. Suppose Delap, Broadhead, Hirst for example are looking to lead the front and he's kind of surplus. Never really provided the chance to see what might have been.

Unfortunately AP, I think Moores days performing in the PL are over. I'm not sure if McKenna has any intentions to tweak how he envisages Town playing in the PL but I dont think Kieffers style of play will fit that style at this higher level...but I think he'll do very well at SUFC

18 Million seems quite a bithallamblue wrote: ↑Mon Jul 15, 2024 4:38 pmDownes re joining Saints on a permanent desk. Apparently we made a big play for him ( Phil Ham), but he was either staying at WHU or going to Saints. So that’s the end of that finally.

Well I hope we're not going down that possible transfer route again with Blackburn if they want £20 million for Szmodics they can go whistle, even £6 million is a bit OTT for his age, it could be we've rattled the cage to see what reaction we get from Szmodics he might demand a move and turn down the offer of Blackburn's higher wage offer, wait and see the reaction.

I am expecting a keeper and a CM to be the next Two in the door.

We're clearly testing the overseas market aren't we. Personally id go for Dutch ( guile) or South American ( flair) players .....

6ft3 Tanner Tessman is a USA International Venezia star midfielder and Inter Milan is swooping to sign him and then loan him out for development Kieran wants to bring him in on loan to work alongside Morsey, but Feyenoord are also interested, but with our development pedigree we should be able to mount a successful loan deal with Inter. Interesting.

Also, I'm sure Leeds Crysencio Summerville is still available at £17 million I'm sure the left-sided striker would relish a Premiership challenge with Ipswich

The club are obviously beavering away behind the scenes on various potential signings. But OMG doesn’t it take an age for anything to be completed. It’s almost a week now since we’d agreed a few with Burnley for their GK. The medical was supposed to be Monday , and still nothing. Meanwhile Saints announce Downes re signing, Sheffield announce Keffier Moore signing.

Re: Transfer Rumours - New Signings for Towns Premier League Squad 2024/25
The Club is delighted to announce the signing of Arijanet Muric for an undisclosed fee.
The goalkeeper, known as Aro, joins the Blues from Burnley, signing a four-year contract at Portman Road and becoming Town’s fifth signing of the summer.
The 25-year-old, who was born in Switzerland and has represented Kosovo 38 times at international level, played a major part in Burnley’s promotion to the Premier League during the 2022/23 campaign, before featuring 10 times for the Clarets in the top-flight last season.
Having started his professional career with Manchester City, he spent loan spells at NAC Breda, Nottingham Forest, Girona, Willem II and Adana Demirspor, prior to joining Burnley and making a total of 55 appearances during his time at Turf Moor.
“I’m excited to have joined the Club and am looking forward to getting started,” Aro told TownTV.
“I watched how the team played last season and feel the style will suit me very well, so this is the perfect move for me.
“I have had good conversations with the Manager and Rene (Gilmartin, Head of Goalkeeping) and believe this is the right place for me to be as the Club moves into the Premier League.
“I’m looking forward to getting started.”
Aro will fly to Austria to join up with the Town squad during their pre-season camp later today.

Burnley fans on Muric transfer:
Burnley fans have expressed mixed feelings about Aro Muric’s move to Ipswich Town. Some appreciate his contributions during the Championship-winning campaign, while others are disappointed to see him leave. As with any transfer, opinions vary among supporters, but overall, it’s a significant change for both clubs.

Interestingly listening to Muric's interview he mentions he knew KM from years back when on trial at Manchester United, that's a positive for me as KM will no doubt have seen him on a daily basis in training etc.

Not sure about this Muric signing but guess we will have to wait and see. Hope he turns out to be ok as I think he might be a busy lad this coming season.

Yeah I hope I had mis-judged him, probably harshly. Their fans seem to rate him over Trafford.Shed on tour wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2024 3:15 pmNot sure about this Muric signing but guess we will have to wait and see. Hope he turns out to be ok as I think he might be a busy lad this coming season.

Unsure where the 17m comes from, agree we'd take him at 20m or less, but they will want 30+.Charnwood wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2024 3:25 pmFor £17m he’d be a steal ? ….shabba wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2024 12:59 pmI thought they wanted double that - £34mashfordblue wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2024 11:26 amAlso, I'm sure Leeds Crysencio Summerville is still available at £17 million I'm sure the left-sided striker would relish a Premiership challenge with Ipswich

The fact that Summerville hasn't been snapped up yet says to me that Leeds aren't going to get the money they want for him plus of course he probably wants to play in the Premiership and not overseas.

I think if we offered Leeds £30 million for Gnonto and Summerville they might snatch our arm off as they have a job selling them at the moment

He's gone back to Villa for £13 million on a dodgy buyback arrangement, Hull City owner is P*****d off with this arrangement as it didn't come under the buy-back terms laid out when they brought him for £5 million

If Villa are smart, they’ll offer him up for a loan move. Completely understand the Hull owners being aggravated.ashfordblue wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2024 8:53 pmHe's gone back to Villa for £13 million on a dodgy buyback arrangement, Hull City owner is P*****d off with this arrangement as it didn't come under the buy-back terms laid out when they brought him for £5 million
