I still think Bart will be gone sooner rather than later. Aside from his lack of ability, playing league one football won’t do his international career much good...even for Poland.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread 2019/20 Season
Kind of pleased that Bialkowski has remained on the payroll for the time being but by the same token it's a player that could become unsettled the longer he remains with us. All this transfer activity (or lack of) won't help focus here but how much is the player going to be utlilized anyhow now we got new additions in. Holy should feature more often than not and Bialkowski if not this summer, should be offloaded in the next transfer window.
If we get say one million for the player it'll be an adequate response, there's little chance of holding out for anything much more substantial at this stage of the proceeding.

Tying those two posts together..........
Great stuff, Mike. Horny details in the first match preview please.
"It occurred to me minutes after humping the new woman of my dreams, that I was late for the Burton Albion game and the traffic would be murder......, and then the new woman reminding me that it's league one, and the traffic would be light...... and so I gave her another one before leaving!"
Nothing too horny you understand.

Typical of Town to “accept” a shyte offer for one of our players - AGAIN!Shed on tour wrote: ↑Tue Jun 25, 2019 4:24 pmThe problem for us now is even if another club do show an interest in Bart they are bound to come in with a low offer whether Millwall were trying it on or not.
Think this is a real blow for us as the fee might not have been as much as we would have hoped for but the savings in wages would have been substantial. Could have a impact on future signings as well.

TBH.... we’re haven’t got the strongest negotiating hand as it’s obvious we want rid of Bart and clubs are aware of that. I think 900 K - 1 million is a pretty decent amount for a GK who’s had a pretty woeful season. What I hate is when we run down contracts and players leave for free.hallamblue wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2019 6:24 pmTypical of Town to “accept” a shyte offer for one of our players - AGAIN!Shed on tour wrote: ↑Tue Jun 25, 2019 4:24 pmThe problem for us now is even if another club do show an interest in Bart they are bound to come in with a low offer whether Millwall were trying it on or not.

I still think Bart will go but it’s best it doesn’t drag on as we probably need to ship out players to bring in others.

The problem is, we can’t win!
If we get screwed over and Bart leaves for a Lowe fee , everyone screams, if we hold out and he doesn’t leave, everyone screams. The club can’t win.
The only winner here is blue mike who will be shagging all the time and won’t care what else happens

Mike sounds as if he’s in a great place.... good on him!!!!!
Must have used ‘Looking forward to Fleetwood away’ as his opening chat up line.... that’ll make any girl’s leg tremble.

I think that’s a ‘hands-off’ response from Bristol City. No way Webster will go for that amount.number 9 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2019 10:51 pm30-Mil for Webster!? You're havin a laugh!

Too early to start panicking, but we could do with some dosh to bring players in. Lambert’s playing it down, but we’re in need of some players, especially up front and with some goals in them.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread 2019/20 Season
Took in a view of OTIB a moment back and could see no mention of Adam Webster. At least not a standalone topic to warrant any mention of absurd transfer prices or activity. A leading transfer market page has his valuation at four million so where the extra twenty-six arrives from is anyone's guess.
Contracted for another three years with the South-West team and yet to feature at full international level, I don't see how you can label the kid anything expensive. Previous post got it true enough, we need more players in. Only Norwood and the Gillingham acquisition have made it through since end game. If it remains as it is you believe it's not going to be nowhere near enough if we're to properly challenge from August.

Danny Mayor ( out of contract from Bury) is at PR in talks.

Can’t say I know anything about him, other than he seems to have a decent reputation as a L2 player and is a wide player.

Do we really need another midfielder? Fair enough, in Lambert we trust...but? We need defenders. I honestly think Skuse should be used as a CB. Chambers should only be a bench player or at least a one half player. If we get a solid defense, the midfield will sort it’s self out.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread 2019/20 Season
In think he’s looking for a left footed winger to enable Judge to play more centrally . We don’t really have a left footed left winger in The squad do we ?
But, having said that , I don’t think the Bury player will be joining us , as he seems to like the NW so I’d expect him to join Tranmere . We’ll see !
But regarding your thoughts on defence , there’s a part of me that expects Chambo will at some point be phased out this season - unless he’s playing well that is ( which is quite likely to happen)

What about Edwards on the left? Play Judge in the middle...it’s not rocket science ffs! Make Skuse the captain...put him in the middle of defense...a sweeper so to speak. Although I’d say a stopper. He’ll have a tendency to move forward, and the defenders should follow. We all remember the cries of MOVE UP, MOVE UP after falling back to defend a corner or free kick. By limiting the space in YOUR half, you prevent auspicious counter attacks!...and you increase offside percentages. It’s not fkn rocket science! Watch Barcelona they do it all the time.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread 2019/20 Season
He’s apparently a winger not a midfielder. And I think he’s a right-footed winger who usually plays on the left. Jack Lankester and Danny Rowe are left-footed wingers... and I think Jordan Roberts is left-footed. Except Lankester is preferred on the right and I have a feeling Rowe and especially Roberts will leave. By all accounts, Mayor has a decent reputation but doesn’t seem to want to leave the NW.... so we could lose out to geography rather than wages, as you say.hallamblue wrote: ↑Thu Jun 27, 2019 10:50 pmIn think he’s looking for a left footed winger to enable Judge to play more centrally . It may not be Rocket science to Barcelona ... because they’re Barcelona!!!number 9 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 28, 2019 1:03 amWhat about Edwards on the left? TBH.... we need to improve defence, but we need to focus on creating and scoring more goals. I can’t help feel if we push too high then you leave too much space behind. A long ball over the top and a striker will win a foot race against Chambo.
Bit too early, for me, to be talking tactics when we need to bring in players who can add goals.

Christ, if we model our defense for Chamber’s slowness we are screwed! A proper offside trap should prevent, or at least limit damage from long balls...unless we’re playing a Mick McCarthy team.tangfastic wrote: ↑Fri Jun 28, 2019 7:43 amIt may not be Rocket science to Barcelona ... because they’re Barcelona!!!number 9 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 28, 2019 1:03 amWhat about Edwards on the left? Not convinced by this. Anyone know anything about Danny Mayor?
