Sears appears to have lost what pace he used to have , doesn’t he !
Edwards is as much use as a chocci tea pot ..
And as usual we pose and no goal threat .

Listening to Radio Suffolk for this but reception isn't the best. Doesn't seem to be much going on there maybe the players accept any promotion is beyond them. This should represent a good opportunity with opposition near the end of league and no mid-week action for us. We need to pick up a bit, Cook should emphasize at the interval this is a winnable game and the need for three points from this trip.

well, if I was Paul Cook I would be spending my half time preparing P45s for Judge, Edwards, and Sears

Re: Wigan Athletic vs Ipswich Town Preview & Matchday Thread
That very last piece of play sums up football today. ........ Pro football player can't pass a ball into the space that the forward has made. Hits first Ipswich defender? How these guys earn so much money for being so poor is beyond me.
Hopefully Cook can give us all his lottery numbers. If he's been a successful manager with the "hit long for a lone striker" strategy , then he's a very lucky man. Or he's had Suarez type forwards.

If we’re going to play like that.... get Hawkins off the bench alongside Norwood. Or if he has to go one up front... put Norwood as a number 10.
Sears has been anonymous.. he’s got nothing now in pace or trickery. Get him off and move Judge to the left.
Toto’s been the best player. But so often he’s the one who’s launching it long. Not his job to be playmaker. Where’s the midfield.

I didn't think we were too bad last week, this week awful. No creativity at all. So so poor. Not sure how much of the second half I can stomach. Will wait to see what subs he uses between the 60th and 70th minute and then probably go watch some paint dry.

Routine Saturday, home from golf eagerly catching up with our line up and first half. Good to see VK-Y starting because I thought his days were prematurely over but maybe not. Definitely not my favourite midfield but what do I know more than a thousand miles away and first half highlights appear non existent. But hey there’s another 45 mins to win 3 points.

While we have been poor we've been the slightly better of the Two teams, as has been said Sears, Judge and Edwards plain awful, Toto the best player, I just think Bishop could be the difference if we get the ball to him in the right position, he looks dangerous at times.
Surprise surprise Vincent-Young off at HT

Re: Wigan Athletic vs Ipswich Town Preview & Matchday Thread
I wonder how many of the players who started this game today have been told they won’t be here next season?
Judging by how they’re playing I’d say most of them !

Re: Wigan Athletic vs Ipswich Town Preview & Matchday Thread
Looks like a no score today I thought the players would have been motivated for this but seems nothing new. If you can't overcome opposition like this or even beat any top six teams we face off against how the f*ck are we supposed to fare in the Championship if and when the team makes it back.
Just seeing out the last stage of this contest, believing in better but patience is wearing thin once again.
