Aluko second. Great corner by Fraser. Hit far post and Aluko scrambled in

Burgess at fault. Out of nowhere.

Re: League 1 - Cambridge United vs Ipswich Town Preview & Matchday Thread
If we’d have gone in at 2-0 then great. Not a classic, but we deserve to be in front and worked hard without the ball. Looked more dangerous and then after 40 we give them a way back in. Burgess looks shaky and getting out-muscled by their big centre-forward.
You can never relax with this team. Always seems a way back for the opposition after we worked so hard for 40 mins.

So f****** annoying 2-0 up and thinking we can now go on and control the game and yet again we make another mistake to let them back in.
If we don’t win this it is going to seem like a long trip back to Clacton.

I still find it so hard to accept we’re playing in the same Division as Cambridge United and cant help thinking in terms of an obvious win, however with our inability to keep clean sheets I’ve gone for our first away draw however hope I’m wrong.

We bring on Burns, Celina and Edwards and f*ck it up, I really don't think we are any better now than we've been for years, losing interest fast.

How many games now is this that we have taken the lead to throw it away?

Last season were boring going forwards but we were tight at the back. This season we cannot defend for toffee and PC got to sort it out

How many games have we taken the lead in now and gone on to drop points? There's something not right either with the mentality, tactics or both

I think it’s at least 4 games now … that’s 8 pts minimumSteve and Jo wrote: ↑Sat Oct 16, 2021 4:53 pmHow many games now is this that we have taken the lead to throw it away?

I genuinely don't see us getting there under Cook, it goes against the grain with me to say this as I'm normally more patient than most but Sack the prat now ffs.

At least, as you say. That would put us square and comfortably in the playoffs, today alone has dropped us from 11th to 15th, from 3pts outside of the playoffs to 5pts outside, it makes such a difference.hallamblue wrote: ↑Sat Oct 16, 2021 4:56 pmI think it’s at least 4 games now … that’s 8 pts minimumSteve and Jo wrote: ↑Sat Oct 16, 2021 4:53 pmHow many games now is this that we have taken the lead to throw it away?

Burgess and Hladky had poor games. If the back’s shaky you’re vulnerable- and so it proved. Really really disappointing
