On your Norwich and Ipswich comment, I fully understand rivalry. Rivalry is a good thing in sport. Its when it decends into hatred and the consequences of it that I have an issue.

I'll tell you one thing though, I am well travelled and the English are not well liked anywhere, so have a think about that !
hmmmm - maybe you're not nearly as well travelled as you like to think. I'm English (and proud of it) and I have travelled all over South East Asia and never been treated as anything other than like a king, particularly in Malaysia, Singapore, and Philippines.

I was treated superbly well in Greece, Portugal, Spain, Croatia, Belgium, Holland, Germany and Norway over the last 2 years, I must be lucky.

I get some of where VR is coming from, but I do feel that that some of the 'nobody likes us' is more of an English disease (for want of a better term) and perhaps not something which is as prevalent as we perceive.
I travelled around Europe a lot during my coach driving days and never really encountered any inhospitable nations. I've been lucky to have travelled a bit of the world since then and not really found any problems. Indeed with some of the twinning trips I've been on, our hosts have offered us a welcome far beyond what we have done when we have entertained them.
There will always be people who do not like "the English' but the sentiment is probably returned with interest from us, however I always like to think it is a small minority.

Think we will have to ask hallam her opinion first as no doubt she has experienced Mike’s singing when at Portman Road.

The English themselves do not like the English!

If they did, 2 things: 1, The pundits would get onboard with Southgate (at the start of a tournament) and 2, The English version of the BBC would NOT show footage of the tw*t element of England fans taunting German fans to "go home". YOUR OWN press coverage creates the "everyone hates the English" type of thinking. It is all done FROM ENGLAND, no where else.
Cousin Peter from Coventry --->> Good guy
Bro-in-law from Winchester --->> W4nk
Auntie Julie from Middlesborough --->> Good guy, (She genuinely looks like a guy)
Her husband, Uncle Rob, from Edinburgh --->> W4nk

He’s flat as ditch water and two lines behind the rest of the stand . THEN when he’s hit the bar at half time , downed a few Aspalls he’s leading the SBR , standing on the railings over the stairwell: quite a sight tbh !

Just seen this on FB…..

𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚: UEFA are now reviewing the decision to appoint Felix Zwayer as referee for the England-Netherlands match, amid concerns within the governing body.
Zwayer has previously been banned from football for accepting a €300 bribe to match-fix in 2005.

The defender hit Kanes shooting boot/foot , and made no contact with the ball. So to me that’s a penalty.
Play Foden in his best central position and you have an effective front line. But I still think Kane had lost a years of pace in open play.

Well,

, remember this Hallam when VAR is in all ITFC games next season. (Speaking from VAR in SPL / Easter Rd etc etc)
……. The player was “closing down a shot”. Was not a direct challenge on Kane. So when this shyte happens next season, (because it will) we know you’ll be understanding the decisions. Because i STILL don’t.
Basically……… defenders are not allowed to defend anymore. Must get used to that.

Much better tonight, dominated most of it, Foden pulling the strings but most of them are playing well.

Marko, The game has gone soft really hasnt it

… can’t wait for VAR controversy at PR lol
England are much more fluid and playing with more pace on the ball. I’m sure the players have had an input to this change of tactic and spoken as a group with Southgate about this, becysse we are so notably different tonight!
