Re: FA Cup first / second round draw
Is the reason we're only playing two league games in November because of these bloody FA Cup games? We started the season early. The World Cup isn't starting till end of November and doesn't concern us apart from Burns. Why are we only playing 2 league games in Nov. Could have squeezed in 1 or 2 more league games. We've even had the Cambridge game cancelled for the Queen's death scheduled before November. Weird scheduling.

Amazing the connections the Cup throws up at times.
I see Tommy Miller is assistant manager at Buxton and he has posted a tweet accordingly.

That worked out well, he was down the other week too wasn't he, when Burleys bar was re-opened?
Sure he will get a warm welcome, and rightly too.

We certainly didn’t have to worry about missing penalties when Tommy Milker was around.

Tommy was a brilliant servant for ITFC! I think he's one of the most consistent players we've had. Also, I don't recall him ever having any issues on or off the pitch. A hard working player who showed up for every match.AzzurroMark wrote: ↑Tue Nov 08, 2022 12:59 pmAmazing the connections the Cup throws up at times.

Re: FA Cup first / second round draw
Had to glean information as no idea what league they're in. Around Derby way knew that much but not much else with it. Probably some divisions below Chesterfield, (they are) among the most vague / unrecognized of club names of that county.
Last reached Third Round back in 1952 when George VI was UK monarch. All right you got a new King but 70 years on, kind of safe to say they wont be replicating that achievement from back then. We'll win, had a small scare yesterday with the Bracknell game but there's no chance they can or will overcome us when the time arises.

Home to Rotherham in the 3rd round. I guess it's a Championship side and certainly winnable.

Good to be at home but a bit disappointed and Rotherham are a bit of a bogey team for us.

Re: FA Cup first / second / Third round draw
They are beatable and they’re on a shocking run of form at the moment and dropping down the table. On the down side they can play better away than at home and like parking the bus in defence and win on the break as the did recently away to local rivals Sheffield United where they nicked it 0-1.
I guess much will depend on how seriously both managers take it and I think McKenna has already shown some intent.
In it for the 4th Round Draw for me.

Re: FA Cup first / second / Third round draw
Norwich got a similar tie themselves. Same league opposition with a home advantage.
It's doable but by no means a given. f*ck it just realized they got a promotion this year, thought they were still League One.
It'll be tough but we got the capabilities to win it. Just require a bigger crowd than Sunday to lead the players on. Would have wanted another low league tie to enhance chances of making it through once again.

well it's a good opportunity to measure how good we are (or not) against a team one flight higher than us.
Definitely winnable, only potential problem is that it is at home.
