Well last night was interesting for sure. Soton tripping up. When I see this I do feel that even if Leeds beat us to the 2nd spot we have a better than even chance of getting promoted through the playoffs.

Need a win tonight.

Southampton looked nothing special, they got away with it Saturday against Huddersfield but Bristol city tore through them at will at times.

We could also do with a run of results like Southampton have just had that ended last night. Our upcoming run of games are well suited to make that realistically possible and by the weekend we’ll have a good idea of its likely to happen.

Southampton conceding 6 goals in two games wont have done their confidence any good so we may well see them run into a sticky patch similar to what we’ve just been through. Maybe this will give us an opportunity to move above them again.

Watford are absolute crap … score flatters scum though. They actually look a bang average team . Well tbh both sides do!

Once again I’m watching Saints in a game and wondering how they’ve had such a run … now 3-0 down vs Bristol…. There’s nothing about saints that impresses me. I think most of their wins have come against a run of games against lower placed teams…, They’ve got WBA next…

Leeds absolutely steaming it in the league now… reckon it’s them n Leicester for automatics . PL parachute money coming to the fore I see.
Not sure about that, Liz - I believe I'm right in saying that parachute payments from the PL are made at the end of the following season, not the start of it.

I’ve just been looking at the possible effect of Southampton’s 6 goals conceded in the last two games which is the same number they conceded in their previous 14 games beginning on 4 November of which they Won 11, Draw 3, Lost 0, F 29, A 6, Pts 36 from a possible 42.

Having been on a run of 25 games undefeated they will have had huge momentum and confidence going into every game but conceding 6 in four days will surely put a massive dent in their confidence and affect their performance.

Five of their next seven games starting with WBA (a) on Saturday are against teams chasing promotion inc Leicester City and won’t be easy and present an opportunity for us to get above them again.

👍 Seriously, i love all that stuff.

There used to be a programme on years ago, can’t remember what it was called but they had a bit where a guy called “Statto” would discuss stats. Absolutely loved it.

Might have been Baddiel & Skinner ? 🤔

It was Baddiel and Skinner, I recall it. Show was labeled Fantasy Football League or something. They had something called Phoenix from the Flames within it which recreated past moments with 'celebrity' names. It were a good watch but intended for a select audience.

Getting irritated with Norwich scores also. They've really picked up in recent weeks, it's a shame and regrettable and now on the verge of the play-off zone. That game when we played them a few weeks back - they were poor and adrift in mid-league and we were looking real good - they stole a point from it, kept the long unbeaten run against us intact - and seem to have gone from strength to strength since that day while we've just not been the same force and lost hold on the automatic places. Wish could go back to that game and make amends and changes and set the league on a different course.

Warnock & Aberdeen were 3-0 down.
Its 3-3 now.
Wonder how many sheepsh*ggers left @ 3-0. They’ll claim tomorrow at work that they stayed until the end

You got a club name there who in terms of tradition, achievement, infrastructure and fanbase are easily the third biggest team in Scotland but the pity is whoever they brought in was undertaking a position where they could do little to nothing in a league other than hope to finish third place tops or (outside of Glasgow) be the best of the rest.

choice of manager there is a strange decision, wish him well but what can he feasibly hope to achieve in the league at least that others already for years have tried and failed. Think they were looking to bring in 'a Warlock' to provide some magic or cast a spell and there were some mix up someplace, made the wrong appointment. If he delivers the scots cup to them this season with a few games remaining to eventual final glory, for that alone, would be a marvellous achievement. One more time, i wish him well.

Very happy to discuss the Scottish game, but if you’re going to talk absolute wind & pish with the Dons easily 3rd biggest club?? (I mean Jesus effin christ buddy??)
I know you’re partial to the Scots which is great…… but don’t rock up in a cafe (ex drinker, no pubs) with that nonsense. You’ll be laughed at.
If its geared at “a bite”, i applaud it; I bit.

Pains me to say it but in terms of all those things you mention, (infrastructure etc) Hearts are arguably the 3rd in Scotland with Hibernian in 4th. To be honest, 5th would be close between Dundee United & Aberdeen.

I see the Colchester home game was rained off too.

Summer in the East Anglian sunbelt.
I was travelling home from London on Friday and I’ve NEVER seen rain like it. At one point the car was completely deluged in a dump of standing water which came over the central reservation barrier from the opposite carriage way. We couldn’t see a thing and thank god we were only doing 40mph at that point.
You could send some of that stuff over here Liz cos it’s getting pretty desperate. We’ve had no meaningful rain for almost a year and some reservoirs are at only 8% of where they should be at this time of year. ☹️

W.Brom starting to play like they did against us. Hopefully a draw final result. Seemed overawed by S'hampton.

Just a thought. Given how badly W. Brom are playing. Could they prefer meeting us in the play off final rather than S'hampton. Hopefully they will prove me wrong

yeah - looks like their blip may be short-lived, though I wish West Brom had played as well last night as they did when we visited them.

Feckin very unlucky @ the 3rd biggest team in Scotland today. Pumped them, but 🤷‍♂️ 2-2…… ——->>> blind bstds in the VAR room. Clear Devlin handball, but again, 🤷‍♂️.

Great win in Wales for ITFC today 👍👌👏👏👏👏👏
