hate to say this but probably Diego Maradona, saw him play for Argentina against England at Wembly after they had won the world cup in their own country 3-0 we won but Maradona should have scored at least 3 of his own , he had all the England players disappearing up their own arses , they got no-where near getting a tackle in, a-la hand of god game.
other than that it has to be Besty totally gifted both of them.

On TV - Arnold Muhren or George Best, both full of talent

seen live - tough one, but probably Gazza.....so much potential wasted!

Perhaps its because memory is a fuzzy thing, and recent impressions are always more vivid - but Ronaldinio is truly truly astounding in terms of skill, talent, poise and class. I don't remember being seeing anyone who could compete with the flair of that guy.

Lol...I was just about to post the same thing.

The guy had everything, a true legend, up there with the greats such as Graham Harbey, Ian Redford and Glenn Pennyfather...

Hmmmm tough question, seen live it would have to be one of Nedved, Figo, Gascoigne, Ronaldo or possibley Jari Littmannen when he was at Ajax (saw him absolutely tear apart FC Twente at their place).

On TV (not including old footage) it's probably a toss up between Ronaldo at his best (the season he was at Barcalona scoring absolutely amazing goals), Ronaldinho (was absolutely superb for Barca vs Chelsea last season) although to be honest Maradona grudgingly has to be the best for almost singlehandedly (literally against England!) winning the World Cup for the Argies.

I was at Wembley that night in 1980 and the performance by Maradonna was the best I have ever seen. He was running through the entire England defence on his own. Phil Thompson was trying but couldn't even get close enough to kick him!
I think Maradonna was 19 then.
