hope so, dont we get a percentage?Alan Curbishley is pondering a New Year swoop for Everton striker Marcus Bent in a bid to get Charlton back on track for a European place.
Curbishley's Addicks made a flying start to the season, winning five of their first six Premiership games.
Summer signing Darren Bent was the main catalyst with his early-season goals, but they have since dried up and Charlton have only won one of their last six games - a run which has seen them slip down to eighth place in the table.
Their fine away form came unstuck in a 4-1 drubbing by Blackburn at the weekend - and Curbishley wants to ease the goalscoring pressure on young hitman Bent.
Toffees forward Bent has seen his chances at Goodison Park limited by the emergence of James Beattie, who has started to find his goalscoring boots for the Toffees and is currently first choice in a 4-5-1 formation.
Curbishley feels Bent's experience, power and aerial ability would be the perfect foil for namesake Darren's pace and eye for goal.
So the Addicks chief may try to tempt David Moyes into parting with his out-of-favour frontman with a January bid in the region of £2m when the transfer window reopens.

Could be a good move for m. bent, ive always thought he was a good player but has been unfortunate at everton. hes did really well last year and was a major reason for their succes. but this succes led them to be able to buy better or at least "bigger" players. constructed his own demise. Think he could link well with dazza. Hope him all the best
