Chelsea wrapped up the premiership?

Post by McDonna29 » Wed Nov 09, 2005 5:25 pm

Just been looking at the premiership table, Wigan with a game in hand are only 6 points off Chelsea, if they win that game in hand, that's only 3 points behind Chelsea.

Not exactly run away lead is it? But some of the bookies have already paid out on Chelsea winning! Could that be a rather large mistake in the making yet?

Imagine if Wigan had of won that game against Chelsea on the opening day of the season....thatd put them on joint points, with a game in hand!

I definately think that Chelsea will win it, but theres a long way to go yet......

any sane person will tell you that Chelsea will win the league, but those same people last season would tell you theres no way in hell that Everton would finish in the champions league spots.

any thing can happen in football, chelsea have started well but other teams have blown leads like this in shorter times, i think newcastle lead Man Utd in the title race by about 10 points in janauary one season, yet finished runners up.
