Lupoli

Post by burgesshillblue » Wed Jan 04, 2006 11:03 am

Lupoli scored two for Arsenal reserves against Town this afternoon. If I remember he got a hat trick against us last year. How about a loan deal as he seems to be well down the pecking order at Highbury ?

He's lost a yard or more of pace but he's still got the touch. Nowhere near as good as he used to be but he's getting on now.

I still wouldn't mind him in the Town team

He must be about 18-19 now, best finisher at Arsenal.

Would be a great signing

would be a real coup if we could get him ! he has scored 14 goals in 11 reserve games this season and scored 37 last season ! and he is only 18

well think about it, hes behind reyes, henry bergkamp, and possible one other but cant think off top of me head, why wouldnt you want a young player to go out on loan and play a good standard of football? also being a ressie player, ill doubt hell mind were he goes, aslong as its not too far off the prem league.

The player may want to go out on loan but whether Wenger would want him to is another matter.
Remember when there was all the speculation about Hoyte joining us on a season long loan but that fell through.

the Hoyte deal was unfortunate though, as i think Ashley cole got ia long term injurie wernt it? plus they didnt have cover in that postion like they do in attack. I really do think we have a real good chance of him on loan, but i think what would make it more inviting would be, if we bought another striker, or got another one in on loan, to be his strike partner for the rest of the season, may make it intresting.

As I said before would be delighted if we managed to get him on loan but with the Gunners still involved in the Champions League and Carling Cup and with the FA Cup to come still think Wenger will be reluctant to let one of his top youngsters go out on loan at this time.

I was gonna say i thought we had been linked with him before

according to the EADT last week, Joe Royle is keen on Ricardo Fuller

and Burley has stated he can leave due to not being in first team plans.
