Swansea City have snapped up Brighton's Leon Knight for £125,000.

The diminutive 23-year-old has set the seal on a two-and-a-half year contract at The Liberty Stadium and will be eligible to take his place in the Swans side that will face MK Dons on Tuesday.

City manager Kenny Jackett told the club's official website: "Leon is an exceptionally talented forward whose goalscoring ability will be a huge asset to the squad."

Former Brighton skipper and Chelsea youth team coach Gary Chivers added: "I think he is worth a go in The Premiership. I think he is as good as [Bobby] Zamora."

Knight notched an impressive 30 goals in 96 league starts during his time on the South Coast
