Ipswich Town Chairman David Sheepshanks has said Town will not be forced to sell a single player until 2008.
The restructuring of Town’s debt has gone ahead as planned and it will mean none of the new emerging players from Town academy will have to be sold to pay the bills, but that is only if attendances stay around the current level.
Sheepshanks: “A new deal that is agreed in principle with our money lenders will mean no forced sales before 2008.
“And hopefully this can be extended if things go well on the pitch in the meantime.
“This is taking into account that we are able to retain similar levels of support from all sections of the community as we enjoy now, a downturn in attendances etc will clearly have an adverse effect on what we can afford. But I prefer to be positive.
“The club is in good health, barring our financial constraints. We are well on our way to dealing with those - and clear daylight is visible at the end of the tunnel.â€Â

Refers to the CVA. Club is in good health only still has some restrictions until the CVA is repaid.
You will no doubt remember that the CVA stands at around the 300k mark and has only not been repaid now because the club would prefer to invest in players rather than run unneccessarily quicker than the CVA schedule.

So basically it means we have to get promotion next season to ensure we are in the premiership by 2008 in order to see this team/club get the investment it needs to continue to grow at a reasonable rate???
Enforced sales??? I guess there is a difference between what the club say are enforced sales and what are just general sales. Gaardsoe was an enforced sale yet it was dressed up as though he was going to sit in the reserves all season to make way for big lump who ended up at QPR!!!
We still don't have a fool proof plan and we are relying on attendances staying as they are which personally I don't think will happen next season!
