Kevin Horlock has been told he is free to leave Town if another club comes in for the midfielder.
The 33-year-old former Northern Ireland international is out of contract in the summer and Town boss Joe Royle told the Club website: "At the moment there are no plans to offer Kevin a new contract.
"I've spoken to him and said that we are well covered in the midfield department now and that if a club shows an interest in him, we won't stand in his way.
"Making him available now just means he has more chance of getting fixed up with a new club now before the summer where there will be a whole number of players looking for jobs."
Kevin joined Town from West Ham in the summer of 2004 on a two year deal.

That might be a bit harsh - Horlock was never brought in to do a fancy job and at times has been a useful player - however at other times he has been a part of the slowest midfield in the championship and I guess royle had to see sense sooner or later.
He will never be as bad as Mr Dinning - but I guess horlock won't be remembered as being a legend either!!
There are at least three other ´regulars` that should have this season as a final playing season.I would´nt be in the least bit suprised if they ALL got a renewal of their contracts next seasonthe-mole wrote:Finally some good news coming out of PR!!!![]()

You rated him that much!toby wrote:HOORAY!!!!
Bye bye Kevin (my lookalike apparently!), don't let the door hit your arse on the way out.
After his first couple of matches I thought we had finally found someone in midfield who could do some running and put themselves about a bit.
Unfortunately after a few matches this stopped and what we had instead was another passenger in our already overloaded, freeloading midfield!
The number of times I saw Kevin Horlock break out of a jog and burst into a sprint could be counted on the fingers of one finger...never once did I see that c*** break into a sweat, he must've been the kit mans dream...never a mark on his jersey at the end of 90 minutes!
That is it tobes - in order to raise expentancy the club told us they had signed Kevin Horlock when in fact his twin brother the kit man started playing!!!!toby wrote:HOORAY!!!!
