Oldham are hoping to land experienced Ipswich midfielder Kevin Horlock.
The 33-year-old has been advised by The Tractor Boys that his present deal will not be renewed, prompting Latics boss Ronnie Moore to swoop.
"I know he is available and I have been looking at games he has played and injuries he has had," he told the club's official website.
"I have already put a phone call to his agent."
The Northern Ireland international has featured in 17 Championship matches for Town this season.

Nope....he'll be going for free...

If your 1 year contract isn't going to be renewed, you really can't demand a fee.
