Apparently it's 10% of the PROFIT Everton make that we get.squiz18 wrote:Still quarter of a million aint bad. Its just like winning the coca cola competition. Except the money wont be spent on a new player.
And i dont get 10 grand
They paid (I think) £400k for him so we ultimately get 10% of £2.1mil.
However I think Charlton are paying £2mil (80% of the total fee) up front with the rest based upon other "performance" clauses.
Our sell on fee is based on that 80% / 20% split too.
So we will only initially get 10% of 80% of the profit, with 10% of the rest of the profit IF Charlton end up paying that part.
Hope that made sense
Regardless it looks like it'll be £168k for us straight away
(That's 2.5mil - 400k = 2.1mil = Everton's profit
80% of 2.1mil = 1.68mil
10% of 1.68mil = 168k = Our first sell on installment)

I dont know, the money from his sell on fee wouldnt be guarnteed. He could have stayed at everton and that way we would have got nothing. I dont see how the CVA could count on getting anymoney from a sell on.Mork wrote:You'll probably find that due to the timing of the original sale and our obligations under the CVA, the money is tied into debt repayment, and will go straight to it - Joe won't get a sniff.

Quite easily - financially, the potential income would already be factored in as a potential opportunity with a likelihood index as part of a standard approach to good accounting. That'd of been there before the CVA, and hence could be factored into debt repayment when the CVA was drawn up - bet you when if/its announced, the money goes straight on debt.squiz18 wrote:I dont know, the money from his sell on fee wouldnt be guarnteed. Very true!!!hallamblue wrote:EADT reports £160k with a further £50k add on should CharlTOWN play him beyond so many games ...I reckon Bent will his peak during the next two months for them - keeping them up ..then he'll disintigrate into his usual pile of cack !
I think what is sad is that Bent had the potential to hit it big in the game. He has the talent of that I have no doubt - but in terms of motivation you gotta seriously question how someone so young has been to so many clubs and goes off form after a certain period.
It seems that the drive and determination just isn't there for some players nowadays and this only helps increase the divide between players and fans!!
