I hope they suffer, I always had time for Newcastle until they did what they did to Sir Bobby.
I hope they do ask him back just so he can show them his middle finger LOL

according to the news of the world : "Newcastle will appoint a director of football to operate above Graeme Souness if he refuses to resign in the next 24 hours."

Souness was an abysmal appointment from the start. What the hell were the board thinking?
Anyway, did anyone know that Gary Neville isn't actually a Red, he's a Mag?
Second left, front row btw. Also, Rob Reiner of This Is Spinal Tap fame, bottom right? Proper celebs at the Toon, thats for sure...

They only got Souness in because they thought he could bring the dressing room under control, not for his management skills. Any manager who spends £50m and is only 14th in the league deserves to be sacked.

As newcastle have been my second team (ish) since they were promoted I have actively followed their affairs. However I was firstly sickened at the way Bobby Robson was treated - both by the staff and players. And also cringed with the appointment of souness.
Souness has had a very mixed career - I don't think he has the ability to coach or manage at the top level. Yes he is a bit of character - but he lacks the tactical ability to pull the club out from its slumber.
Whilst Shearer has been a hero up there - I think he has also been a major thorn in the side at times. The sooner he is retired from playing the better for all concerned. However I also think the chairman there has alot to answer for. If souness goes - freddie fat boy should be walking out the door too.
