Jim Leaving...maybe...

Post by 1978greats » Sun Jan 22, 2006 9:48 am

In the local paper's yesterday......"Magilton could quit Blues to get regular first-team football. The Ipswich skipper has revealed that he is open to offers and that he could be leaving Portman Road before the transfer window closes".....

I can see his point as he hates not playing but I for one hopes that he see's out the season with us. Love him or hate him, he's been a great servant to the club and it would be sad to see him go now :(

he has served the club well, however a move now might be a good thing for all concerned,he isn't going to get the football he wants now and with the midfield starting to look settled maybe he should look elsewhere.

i have nothing against him, other than in my opinion he is past his sell buy date.

i say good luck to him and cheers jimbo

Great player for us, but this is a season too far for him.

Thanks Magic, and could you take Currie with you?

I agree with all of the above ....but if / when magic does go I fear we will be losing a very great "influence" behind the scenes and off the field.

Agreed HB, I'm surprised he hasn't been offered a coaching role.

well, i can honestly say, that if him making a tackle but not connecting with the ball means he played very well, then as nicky said he played very well

also he was spotted running yesterday, i think it was as the teams came out

Thanks for the memories Jim...a great servant but too many people trying to fit into four spots....and someone will have to fit in longterm...possibly next season if Juan goes back to Monaco sooner than we'd like - prefer them to get used to it now in a season that is a wash out (99% sure....we have about 4 points less than Palace did before they started their charge into the playoffs...and there are form teams that have to fall apart for us to do it) Im the eternal optimist but not here Im afraid - might as well start the rebuild now....
