Adam Proudlock describes the next three months of his stay at Portman Road as massive as he attempts to prolong his career at the Club.
The 24-year-old striker signed a short term deal until the end of the season in January after first arriving at the Club on loan from Sheffield Wednesday in October.
Adam has played little football over the past two months after sustaining a knee injury and there was a chance that he might have to undergo surgery but he's now back in training and eager to prove to Joe Royle that he deserves a chance this season and beyond.
"I know that I need to produce something special over the rest of the season to prove to the boss that I am worth keeping and I'm going to work my socks off to try and achieve that," Adam told the Club website.
"There is still a slight discomfort in my knee but it's a lot better than what it was and I've had no reaction in training.
"The next three months are massive for me and I need to make them count. I couldn't afford to be spending it recovering from an operation because that would have seriously damaged my chances of getting a move here and meant I would have to spend next summer trying to get fit and find a new club.
"I'm desperate to be involved here and have to make sure that if I get a chance to show what I can do, I take it."

Well, His career may well and truly be ovr if he
does not take the opportunity to prove his critics wrong.
Personally speaking, when we got him I wanted to see him
do well for Ipswich. His injuries have not really given him the
chance to prove anything, but then again when he was played
he did show some signs that he may come good.
Take you chance lad, I dont think you will get another.
