On-loan midfielder Jimmy Juan says he wants to join the Blues permanently in the summer. The 22-year-old, currently on a season-long loan, has a year left on his deal with Monaco.
Juan said: "I have told my agent and Monaco that I want to come to Ipswich permanently and be here next year and not Monaco. But that is now for Monaco to decide."
Town boss Joe Royle said last week that he is also keen for Juan to join the Blues full-time: "We'd like him to sign permanently but that's all I can say at the moment. We don't exactly know his position with Monaco as yet, but we'd like it to happen."
Juan, who first joined Town on loan after a trial in January 2005, has made 16 starts and nine sub appearances this season, scoring four goals.
