Scan for Danny

Post by Dazza » Mon Feb 06, 2006 11:23 am

Town's derby winner Danny Haynes has had a scan on his damaged ankle and although there is no break, he is a major doubt for Saturday's game against Burnley.

The 18-year-old striker had x-rays on his ankle this morning after limping off the pitch in the last seconds of the 2-1 win at Carrow Road.

"I've had the scans and the ankle isn't broken but there is the possibility that there might be ligament damage," Danny told the Club website.

"I've got to wear a support for a few days and then the physio team will have a look at it again on Wednesday.

"I felt it at first when their defender came across to make a challenge as I went to have a shot. It was painful although it didn't hurt as much when I scored and went to celebrate!"

Town physio Dave Williams confirmed that Danny may have ligament damage, adding: "We will know more in the next 48 hours.

"There's no break but ligament damage is a possible cause and he must be rated as doubtful for the weekend."

Adrenalin is a wonderful thing!!!

Didn't look as though it was hurting too much after the final whistle either. He sprinted over to the ITFC fans and how good it was to see the players united with the fans again!!!
