Messi Or Rooney

Been having this debate quite a lot lately. Its debating who is better, Messi or Rooney. Now the argument may be that they are a slightly different player, if you consider Rooney as a Striker, but both of them play normal Att Midfield Roles.
Rooney - Great all round player, not shy in front of Goal
Messi - Fantastic on the Ball, Good with the ball at his feet, can also provide in front of goal, a player that changes the face of a game, and haunted as the Next Maradona.
My Opinon - I would have to say Messi on all round ability, not saying that Rooney is a bad player, im still a fan of him when he wears the England shirt, but i hate Man Utd, so from a week to week basis its Messi all the way.
