Mahon to Burnley

Post by SteveC7 » Thu Mar 23, 2006 2:33 pm

BBC SPORT says Alan Mahon is joining Burnley on loan until the end of the season and will move to them at the end of the season for £200,000 on a 3 and a half year deal. Surely we could have signed him. COME ON JOE SORT IT OUT!

Sure he still fits in? Some may think that Mahon > Currie, but I can't see the club carrying both of them.

Come on, Mahon is to currie as tortoise is to cheetah !!! Mahon Gave us alot of pace on the wings and a decent cross which we are missing abit of at the moment.

Great player but quite right we don't have a spare place for him in MF anymore. The time for that move has come and gone.

A missed oppotunity i feel!!! Unlike Mahon, the crosses that are put in by currie(when the opposing defence is back after his many twists and turns)are too predictable....Long,high,drifting,floating ball.....Put some pace on it occasionally Mr Currie!!! see ya awl on saturday!
