It was good to see a Town side, with a bit of attacking flair, a defence that coped well with a Norwich team that made some good passes, but didn't seem to have much punch up front. A deserved victory, that had it not been for some good saves by Joe Lewis in the City goal, could and should have been by a bigger margin. Apart from the penalty Lewis Price had very little to do. Danny Haynes was my M.O.M, pushed closely by Jay McEvely. Forster had a good run out, causing a few problems to the Norwich defence. Peters had a lively 2nd half, but the ball seemed unable to keep up with him at times :
.Sito looked ok in the right sided midfield role. All in all an enjoyable night out, as is any occasion resulting in a victory over Norwich. The ideal tonic following that shambles on Saturday!!!

Not too much to add to 611's reply. Casement playing in his usual centre half position was a welcome sight and looked solid, Sito playing on the left side of midfield was inspiring, Sick-note Forster, though lacking match fitness showed touches of what he realy can do and very unlucky not to be on the score sheet. Some great attacking runs by the lively Peters. Haynes was too much of a handfull for the Noj rear guard.."He's quick..He's fast..He'll leave you on your arse....Danny Haynes..Danny Haynes!!"
Skard impressed me once again for his simple holding game in midfield. In skard we have a player who can put a tackle in and create space for himself. He follows the ball all over the pitch and always makes himself available for a pass....I'm expecting good things from this lad next season.
a very impressive 3000 mostly Budgies turned up on the nite along with small pockets of the tractor army mingled in.
Town hit the woodwork and should of scored at least two more but for the great saves that the noj keeper made.
I'm not in full agreement with Mceverly and his performance,His contribution was lots better than that at Luton,But in my opinion, for a lad of his youth and strength,he can appear cumbersome and lacking.
Lewis Price came off his line twice that had this supporter close to falling off his chair in disbelief!! His kicking is still somewhat erratic but he was seldom troubled by the Noj attack. Jarvis scored the Noj spot kick sending it to Lewis Price's right just beyond the diving keeper who guessed right but just failed to get a hand to it. MOTM for me has to be Haynes, aggression, strength on the ball, intelligent runs,he had the lot tonite.I strongly suspect that our two front players Forster and Haynes could start on saturday against Brighton offering a respite to Lee.
see ya awl there and enjoy the season.
