'Sorry'

Post by The Gaffer » Tue Apr 11, 2006 8:25 am

Keeper Shane Supple has apologised to fans for Saturday's dismal display against Stoke City. The Irish youngster says the Blues are not a bad side and has big hopes for next season.

Supple said: "We will get through this. It was a shocking display against Stoke and that is two weeks on the trot when we have been dreadful.

"We all know it is not good enough and I would like to apologise to our fantastic fans who deserve much better. We cannot put our finger on the problem, but what I can say is that we will recover.

"There is so much hope for next season, and despite the frustrations of this season we are not a bad team. We have four games left to give our fans something to take with them into the summer. They deserve that."

So how comes it has taken a youngstar to come out and apologise to the fans, and not some of the more senior players, or even the manager!? Good on ya supple!

Odd, I can put my finger completely at whats the problem.

Nothing to play for. At all.
- contracts are sorted.
- Position is pretty much "we are here next season"

Get money for turning up. /yawn

As I say fook all to play for other than pride, and well, thats somewhat lacking it would seem (other than shane and a select few others)

Funny that ....that's exactly what I said in another post !

...and "finishing above noj" doesnt have the same improtance to the players as it does us fans - whether we like it or not !

I'm not sure that I can see it happening :( , but one thing is for sure we have beaten them more times this season than they have us :P , 4 to 2, so if we do finish below them I can console myself with that little fact :)
