Promotion next season?

Post by ippers » Sat Apr 15, 2006 1:36 pm

Its gonna happen   If you look at our whole squad who is actually gd enough for a top 6 finish?

Supple- Will be quality, currently just about good enough for a promotion challanging team IMO

Wilnis- Good squad player at this level but not good enough for a whole season

De Vos- Probably good enough with a player say whos about 25 bu hi side

Naylor-Same as Wilnis

Sito- Good start to this season, but overall nothing more than a squad player

Barron- Good back up but too inexperienced for a team wanting promotion

Richards- A player who only plays well in about 10 games a season  not good enough

Westlake- At his best hes good enough but not on this seasons form

Garvan- Had a great first season and will be one of the best in the league next season (if we keep him!)

Williams- Havn't seen enough to judge him really

Skard-Same as above

Currie- Probably good enough simply for his assists and general set piece delivery but needs a strong energtic midfield to carry him at times

Parkin- Havn't seen enough of him but hve big doubts whether he can score 20 goals a season at this level

Lee Works his socks of but wont ge 20+ goals IMO still definitely good enough with the right partner

Forster- Not good enough to start good bence player though

Bowditch- Cheerio me thinks

Haynes, Knights, Clarke all will be decent from the bench

So all together I cant see a promotion challenge without signing a couple of defenders and possibly a striker :?

With the right additions, A decent centre back, Left back And possibly a loanee striker i can see it happening next season.
Our attitude over the last 3/4 games has stunk. Its not that we are rubbish its the players attitudes dreaming of summer holidays!
Next season we will be there or there abouts.

The heading of this thread must qualify as joke of the day!!!!
Tbh I think at this moment in time we should be more concerned about staying in this division.
