Darren Currie has been named player of the year by the club sponsors Powergen and the East Anglian Daily Times.

Im more than delighted for Darren :D .... he thoroughly deserves this award, 2nd highest assist in the league...our 3rd top goalscorer...love him or hate him, if you took that away we could of well been relegated...there's a lovely pic in todays paper of him recieving his award 8)

I would just like to add that I was delighted to hear that Darren had donated the £1000 in sports kit, that he recieved as part of his award, to my very first school that I went to... Sidegate Lane Primary in Ipswich :D

I've slated Currie all season but actually i thought he's looked pretty decent over the last few months especially when tucked inside. He ain't got any pace out wide (which is shame because he crosses the ball well)
