I take it you're one of the people who will be praising Joe Royle and the side if we beat Norwich on Sunday and say we now have a chance of automatic promotion etc etc?StanstedBlue wrote:Hate to say it but very shortly (unless we get a dramatic improvement and a little consistency), then the top 6 will also be out of our reach!

No Lewis i wont. I will be elated if we beat Norwich on Sunday, but it will just be a one-off. We just dont have the consistency to get a top 2 with the current squad. Lets face it, the only run we got going was against the teams at the bottom. Through no fault of our (the fans) own, we just dont possess the players to do it. Look at the table, it doesnt lie. Could you guarantee a top-six place with the teams around us???? I,m sorry if i,ve offended you but its my opinion which i'm entitled to!Lewis wrote:I take it you're one of the people who will be praising Joe Royle and the side if we beat Norwich on Sunday and say we now have a chance of automatic promotion etc etc?StanstedBlue wrote:Hate to say it but very shortly (unless we get a dramatic improvement and a little consistency), then the top 6 will also be out of our reach!

Top 2
We will finish about 10th. This is about right for the current tactics. Long ball for the front two to run on.
will finish lower next year unless a quality midfielder is brought in.
Norwich and Wigan will go up along with any of the current 5 below (except us), west ham i think will go up by the play offs.

At the end of the day to finish in the top 2 you need a team that believe in each other and can bridge the gap of any weakness they have.
We have a weak defence, weak midfield and a hot and cold attack.
Yes we have a few bright players, westlake etc.. but not enough to deserve a top 2 finish.
An average team with a consistent run of form will do a lot better, and I hate to say it but the Scum are proving it.
With this in mind to be still in with a shout of the playoffs is a remarkable achievement with the squad we have so we still do have a chance of the promised land.
Come on you Blues !!
