Re: Today’s Footie Bet.
Great thread! Will definitely enjoy this.
Good looking bet, the main gamble (for me) amongst that lot is Port Vale v LIncoln. Seeing a draw there, but hopefully that lands you the cash.
I tend to stay away from internationals but will defo post the 8 team league effort next week. How me and the mates do it (because it’s so difficult) ..... we pick the 8, and then pay equivalent cash to win £100-00. It’s usually around £2 stake. Although a buddy did place a large accumulator few years back, same bet, ..... to win £5K....... Leicester City during their winning season, let him down. Total ball breaker and I’m convinced there were tears!!

Re: Today’s Footie Bet.
Most bets look good on paper before kick off but very few bring home the bacon especially when more than 3 matches are selected. That’s why it’s best to keep stakes low and keep it for fun.
I had three from four last night, let down by England and that useless tw*t Rashford.

Cash Out £83.33 with three games still to play, not bad returns for £5

Your Carlisle United pick Mike is exactly the ball breaker that happens every week. Would’ve been a guaranteed home win in my book also.

EPL: Bournemouth
Champ: Nott’m Forest (v Norwich )
L1: Luton
L2 LIncoln
SPL: Livingston
Champ: Morton
L1: Arbroath

Re: Today’s Footie Bet.
Today’s Bet;
Chelsea
Bournemouth
Wolves
WBA
Blackpool
Doncaster
Lincoln City
£2.50 pays £210.48
In my syndicate of 3 we have £30 on Chelsea, Cardiff & Reading all to draw. ( 3 draw picks @ 1 each, my pick was Cardiff v Fulham)
We do this bet every Saturday and only need one successful bet each season to cover our stake, anything else is a bonus.
Last season was our only season without a win. We’ve already won once this season.
We also do Ipswich, Sheff Wed & Leicester all to draw @ £15.

Re: Today’s Footie Bet.
Used to do that three results bet with two other guys YEARS ago when we worked for Scottish Gas........ traditionally it was usually my pick that always screwed up!
A memorable bet from the late 80s was Liverpool to beat Man Utd, Villa to beat the Gunners ....., and then the third pick, (by a guy called Brian) was St Mirren to beat Rangers...... we were like, “fack off, Bri, that’s no gonnae happen!”
He definitely pumped those winnings up. We got 180 each back. Decent return for the late 80s era.
Brians neighbours cousins uncles aunties brother had a son who played for the Buddies and was convinced by all of them that they would win!
The two dodgy picks for me today are Forest and Morton.

Had a great season so far, taking my bet365 account over $400.00, but bloody hell, not one right result today in any of my trebles or doubles ..... Almost defies the odds.

My worst set of results so far this season, only one of seven selections correct.

Andy/Narko .... do you just predict the winners?
I usually only place bets for draws.

Re: Today’s Footie Bet.
Frosty....... Charnwood places a three fixture "draw" bet with his buddies. Looks a decent bet but extremely difficult. Like he says though, one win could pay the entire season.
I do a few different low priced bets but the one I'm sharing on here was something that my brother-in-law introduced to me. Basically the main expected winner from the top FOUR leagues in Scotland & England. (8 teams to WIN) with a low stake to win £100. Last season he won £713-60 from a stake total over 39 Saturdays of £52-33. But it is very difficult which is why the low stake makes it fun. Only someone with a gambling addiction would turn it into something more ridiculous. My son, (who does not have a gambling addiction) tried it last season with a much bigger stake to win £100K. He picked 8 "certainties"........ Arsenal drew that day vs lowly opposition and so did Clyde. He's never done the bet again.
Don't normally go near the champions league but thought I'd give it a try for tomorrow.
Just a bit of fun though.

Re: Today’s Footie Bet.
Put a tenner on them to be promoted, received a bonus £1 bet for every week of the season. Has always gone on Town & so far only 1 bet has come off. That was a draw a few weeks back Maybe I should do as you Marko & avoid placing bets on them

Re: Today’s Footie Bet.
Boro in particular Marko was pretty unbelievable, they’d had taken 13 points from their previous home games whilst Rotherham had lost all their away games so far this season. I guess the only amber warning was the fact that Boro had lost at home to Forest and drawn 0-0 with Swansea in their previous two games at The Riverside which could have made them a bit jittery but gives hope to Town at Leeds tonight.
