Sad way for his career to end but it was always going to be a mistake bringing him back.

Tbh I’m a bit surprised that this injury as caused his retirement. I suppose it’s his age more than the injury.

I don't get to see the team in live action as regular as some others but acknowledge Johnathan Walters is held in high regard by a number of the fanbase. Maybe a player that goes about his business quietly, you don't hear mention of him all too often during or after game time, which is usually reserved for other team members of the squad.

Had a good career at thirty-five. Shame he's decided to quit but made a decision, perhaps the idea of featuring in League One didn't appeal to the player, went out while still involved at second league status. Wish I could offer more plaudits but as before didn't get to see player involvement at close call unlike others (who shall possess higher understanding of merit)
