We're all fans.

It's been a terrible season for us in that, in spite of a recent apparent upturn in form, we are going down to league 1.

Some are looking at whatever positives they can find in the debris of our collapse. They have taken to Lambert. They see hope in the youngsters. They see next season as a reboot.

Others are hurting because of the collapse. They are hurting because the club they love will be in League 1 next season and they struggle to see how that can be viewed as anything other than a disaster. We are bottom of the league and, effectively, fourteen points adrift from safety with eight games to go.

I am caught in the middle. I hate that we're going down. I am unconvinced by Lambert apart from the success in getting many fans back onside. Results have been poor under his tenure. The recent upturn in form could be nothing more than us playing against teams who are either under pressure to stay relevant in the playoffs or who have nothing to play for. It is telling that the teams around us have picked up more points than us since we seemed to have had this upturn in form.

On balance, I'm more in the negative frame of mind about this season and the fact that we will be going down. Nothing, however, will stop me from giving my wholehearted support to the club.
Just because I try to find positives do you think I'm not hurting and hate the thought of League One? Trust me you're wrong but it's happening and yes I'll have down times too for sure but I've got to make the best of it, believe it or not I go to Football for enjoyment and despite results not being better under PL the whole match day experience is light years ahead to anything from recent seasons. Let's face it results have not mirrored the level of recent performances.
Of course you are hurting. We all are. That was my point. Some of us, like you, try to see the positive. That's a good thing. I wish I was better at it.
Maybe I'm too positive but I can't be any other way or it affects me badly where Town are concerned.

Used to be extremely passionate about Hibernian FC in my 20s, maybe early 30s....... but kids, grandkids, daughter with diabetes etc etc.....,, takes the edge off sports passion. Except derby day. Still cannot stand the jambofkrs with an unhealthy passion. But that stems from the Wallace Mercer days.

On another teampage today they were discussing Hull City and questions were raised as to why they're labeled The Tigers when the club emblem would offer different.

They got a point, one glance at the team crest and that's not a tiger, more resembles a one-eared leopard for fucks sake. Either the club artist was a bit amateur or they can't make a distinction between large cats. Say again, they got a valid point.

This is obviously a difficult time for us fans and i love the positivity coming from some fans ,but i find myself agreeing with Rossi Again. This has truly been a nightmare season and one i quite frankly never thought i would experience. The third tier I fear will not be a walk in the park and I to have very Little faith in Lambert.

It does appear that the majority of fans are behind him and that he is looking to bring on the youth players, though Im not sure that this was brilliant planning ,foresight ,coaching or just symtimatic of the position and League we now find ourselves in.

I know we will largly all be back at the start of NeXT season and NOTHING would please me more than us to be winning the League and topping the League 10 points clear by December. I think we will be a team in or around the play offs imho.

Lets all as we normally do get behind the lads and the boss and see where that takes us.

Read somewhere that League One is tougher and rougher than any of the leagues. I suggest, as of next season, the players run out onto the field like your avatar robot, PBB. Might scare a few -----> 3 Pts.

You’ve reminded of a dyslexic apprentice on an Xmas night out few years back. We all hear screams from the Ladies toilet.
Young Declan: “What’s their problem, it says ladies (laddies) on the door.”

I know it’s rubbish we’re bottom of the league and doomed for relegation... but aren’t we getting a bit over-nostalgic about our time in the Championship? For the last few seasons under Mick, it had been gradually getting more and more toxic as a club... the football was mostly dire and fans were squabbling and moaning with each other as well as Mick.

If it’s ONLY about retaining Championship status... it’s simple, we should have kept Mick. With the style of football and the ever more depressing atmosphere at the ground, then many of the fans might well have just kept away and just looked at the videprinter results and League table at 5pm on a Saturday. It was happening anyway... fans were not bothering to come anymore. I think there’s more to a football club than just existing.... and being miserable in the process.

I can’t help feel we’re not losing as much as we think we are. It wasn’t that good. Look back a year or two on the forum.... constant moaning ( nearly all about Mick).... I don’t see much happiness or pride in our Top Two Tier status from that period.
It was Groundhog Day moaning after every match.
TBH... the football of late has been encouraging.... we’ve lacked class, but I can’t see we’ve been outplayed that often during the season. Enjoying watching the matches on IFollow- not the results- because we look like we want to play football and in periods have played some pretty decent stuff. Take that into next season at a lower level and we’ll be winning games. Not worried at all, because we’re not losing as much as we think we are.

Jackson in. No Bishop in the squad ( injury/ illness ? ).

Nsialas starting.... no Pennington. Rumours are that Pennington has an injury and has returned to Everton and out for season. Opportunity for Toto.

and then hoofed out of play by Bart. He’s so poor at kicking.

Thought a bright start, then once more a sloppy goal we gave away. Thought perhaps Chambo could have cut out the pass for that goal. Then next half hour of dull football. Last 8-9 mins was better. Two clearances of the line.

Toto looks up for it.

Need to lift tempo and get crowd involved. COYB.
