It sounds like PL won't be here next season, interview at around 40 minutes 😩

Posted about it under the matchday thread.
Certainly sounds like something has happened recently which has changed things.

Definitely change of attitude towards next season. Something has happened behind the scenes.

The East Anglian have reported it now but say the club still expect Lambert to be in charge at the start of next season so who knows

Exactly Derick, maybe nothing has happened and we are reading too much into his interview? I f**king hope so.

43:35 is the main question......, and the obscure answer....., and then becomes a stuttering tit for the next two minutes.

Maybe he’s feeling the pressure of not turning things around and feeling a bit sorry for himself

I think the contract was a pretty easy one for Luke and Marcus to sort out and we are working our way through the other players that are coming towards the end of their current deals.

There are not too many left to sort and it will get done in time. It’s hard to say how many changes there will be in the summer but there will be changes because of the size of the squad.
That was from Paul Lambert's programme notes today, it just doesn't suggest anything other than planning for next season, weird.

Even though we have known for some time we were going down I've been very upbeat because I'm sure PL would bring success next season and if he did leave I just can't see a bright future, a new manager would mean more changes and maybe some of our good young players leaving and I can see it all going horribly wrong.😞

Agreed, maybe it's just Lambert being very aware that results have not been good and just maybe Evans wont want to keep him ?

Hopefully this will dispel any fears, seems to suggest all is as you were and nothing to worry about.

Can’t blame him if he does leave, he probably realises that no manager will ever succeed under the constraints of Marcus Evans.

Which players are you referring too?

I think the players always give a sh*t, every game this season they've given their all.

Well if what I witnessed yesterday is giving a sh*t then I really do despair

Very few players seemed to want to run, gain space, demand the ball, tackle, take the game by the scruff of the neck & attack. Judge was one of the highlights for me.
Too often I saw players without the ball meandering about the pitch. As someone else on here has said some looked as if they were already on their holidays.
Was quite telling that in the last 15 minutes many of those sat around me were either on their phones or making a move to leave early.
Such a shame after such a bright first 5 or so minutes.

According to Nixon tweet Judge is close to agreeing a two year deal that's a bit of good news if true.👍

Bloody hope so as, for me, he was the stand out player yesterday.

I just think this torrid season has finally taken its toll on everyone, there was a definite feel of resignation at times yesterday.

Well I look forward to more positive performances next season.

Having listened to the relevant part of that interview two or three times I’ll be absolutely amazed if Paul Lambert is still here at the start of next season, and if he is it will only be because nobody else comes in for him.

This would be a shame as despite not being his greatest fan I do believe he’s shown himself to be a very good fit with our football club and my estimation of him as a manager has gone up significantly.

Let’s hope my observation is wrong.

Any Odds on Chambers (player-manager) and Skuse (player-assistant manager) for start of next season and Lambert announced as new Scotland manager?

Lucky for us Paul Lambert is well down the line for the Scotland job currently ranked 10th with the bookies with odds of 20/1 which suggests this is highly unlikely. Whilst the bookies don’t always get it right it’s unlikely they would be this far out of line.

I just read that article and I don't think it is any more than hearsay, I doubt for one second Judge will be here beyond the end of this season, especially if Lambert departs too.

I would have thought Judge would be smart to keep his options open, so not sure about this.

Unless he really likes the club, feels that Lambert is nailed on to be here and.... a pretty generous contract.

I would have thought a few lower mid-table Championship sides would be interested. Can’t help feel he’s putting himself in the shop window, but would love him to sign for us. That would be a real sign of intent for next season.
