Matthew Pennington will miss the rest of the season after rupturing ankle ligaments in training.

The 24-year-old has returned to parent club Everton and will have surgery to repair the damage.

Pennington joined us last August on a season-long loan and has made 31 appearances scoring once.

Not what we needed but I guess it’s a lost cause.

Player of the season if we have to award it to someone.

Bollocks. He looks good making last ditch tackles or blocks because his awareness is shocking, around Xmas he must have cost us 3 games back to back. Bang average player. Although thinking about it most are below ‘bang average’ so maybe you have a point....

Good job he's going back - I'd rather play somebody who is going to be here next season

Anyone able to explain why so many of our players are injured during training? Something has to be fundamentally wrong with the methods employed no?
