If he’s smart, he won’t put a penny near the club.

Like Stephen Hendry with the Jambos...... they’re getting nowt!

Personally, if I was multi-millionaire ( billionaire) and I’ll never be... I wouldn’t put money into a football club. Easiest way to lose money quickly.

Is it only Steve Gibson who’s both an avid fan of Middlesbrough and owner who’s stuck with his club and put money where his mouth is?

If Sheeran wears a few ITFC shirts and does good PR.. that’s good enough. He never struck me as a rabid football fan anyway.

You got a point, even absurd amounts of investment such as that won't always get you far in today's market. To be competitive and rise from where we are it's going to take substantial time and money to move things forward. Not sure who the name in question is, some obscure kid in the music industry. Not something I'd listen to without wishing to elaborate further.

The club needs an owner with a tangible interest in Ipswich Town Football Club, it's the only way it's going to work. Not time wasters, hobby horses or occasional interests. Hell If I had the money I'd jump at the chance to steady the club and regain some previous stature. Maybe I'd make a mess (of it) or it wouldn't work at all, but at least it'd be someone who's been with it long enough and understands what is required and which direction to take.
