I’m not sure there’s much of a piggy bank to rob, No 9. I think we may have to sell whatever family silver we’ve got left first.... and that’s most likely Bart as he seems surplus and still a bit bankable.

Maybe selling Bart might trigger some activity. And I won’t be surprised to see Harrison leave, too.

I’m not a bit bothered by this tbh . I think from what I’ve seen of Holy we will have a more than capable replacement . He was brought in to replace Bart, without a question of doubt in my mind .

Looks dun and dusted I think he could have done better than Millwall but it will suit him, I would think he will keep his Ipswich home.

I wonder how much we are getting not the one and a half million from Millwall I suspect.😖

Glad this looks like it’s going through. A bit of money coming our way could push some other deals over the line and get the squad sorted sooner than later.

The pre-season starts on Monday so hopefully we’ll see more movements.

Harrison at Portsmouth training ground looks like he is off, I would rather it had been Jackson.

Kind of agree....I quite like Harrison and he seemed to have a better all-round game than Jackson.

Looks like we’ll be bringing in another striker then.

Hmmm money is adding up:
Bart 1.5m
Harrison surely 750k or more
Clarke (Pompey to Brighton rumoured at 6m which means around 1.2m for us

That's 3.4m so far as well as Bart's salary off the wage bill.

Then there is Webster and Mings moving, potentially another 5 million quid.

With Bart and Harrison on their way should pave the way for new players coming in. I reckon we already have business agreed and just waiting for the merry go round to get going. Lambert was keen to get the bulk of business done by the start of pre season.

Little disappointed to see Bialkowski move on if indeed accurate. Sure he's had his detractors and can be prone to error, but has been a good club servant here over time, at times I rated him one of the best outside the EPL. Unfortunately that trend declined somewhat, but he's had his moments for sure.

I think Neil Harris will work well for him, you got a manager there that can motivate players and maybe Bialkowski can recapture some of his previous stature for them. One and a half million seems adequate if indeed the figure in question, but no way would have accepted that a year or two back.

Harrison's no great loss. I don't get to see the team in action as regular as some others but have been disappointed with expected performance. No offense if he's in fact something special and key to the team, but seems to have been very quiet in his time here.

Indeed. That's nearly the 9m that is the rumoured shortfall for ME on relegation. I would expect him to share some of that with Lambert though as that 9m is every season, not just a one off, if we can 'buy promotion' with 5m it would seem to be a good strategy.

I’m a bit dubious about how much we’d get, but if we’re losing out season by season financially by being in League 1 then you’d think it’s the time for Evans to dip a little deeper into funding. I know we’re looking at free transfers... but I think we’re being competitive in wages so far as we’ve nailed down Judge and Norwood. Evans seems to have backed Lambert so far. I have a sneaky feeling we might get Conor Washington even though he would get interest from Championship clubs.

If a former Town supporter is an ex-Tractor fan ....Would you call a positive Town supporter a pro-Tractor fan and a negative Town supporter a de-Tractor fan?

SJ may have stumbled upon something here.

Not sure what our annual wage bill is,but I'm guessing it runs into the millions, would like more investment in some quality players especially another desent stricker & more cover in defence, can't see much of that 9m going on players, hope I'm wrong.

Not sure how Evans has ever become a multi millionaire, when he sells his assets for less than half what he paid for them only 12months ago!

Harrison to Pompey for £340k ffs !! Just what the hell is Evans doing!

I guess he's lowering the wage bill. Presumably the manager doesn't want him. At the end of tbe day, transfer fees are less important thsn wages. But we seem very short of strikers at present.

I never really pay attention to level of transfer fees that are banded around. They are what they are. What does appear to be happening is players are sold cheaper now a days but with a larger sell on clause. I would imagine that’s what may have happened with Harrison.

I would imagine Harrison leaving is because we have someone lined up. I’d hope so as selling to a League 1 rival could bite us on the bum, so hoping it’s an upgrade. With only 2 fit strikers at the club we could do with 2 more strikers.

I can understand the transfee fee for Harrison as he’s scored just one goal and been injured most of the time.... that’s hardly going to inflate his value.

Just see it as necessary to move him on if we’ve got 1 or 2 lined up ( let’s hope) and if the fee’s a bit low that’s not neccasarily Evans’ fault - that’s what he’s valued at by Pompey and we can’t hang around negotiating the odd 50 or 100 K extra when we need to get him out to bring others in.
