Bring it on. I’m actually really pleased we’ve got a big home game for our first home match . It’ll set the stall for the rest of the season , hopefully !

5th October: Fleetwood
12th October: Wycombe
19th October: Accrington

There ^^^^^ are three league fixtures in a row whereby if SBR was brought back to life, he’d say....... “What the absolute fk happened?”

Come on, you Blues........ haul your arses out of this league 2019/20........ get it done.

Not a very easy start but they all have to be played, I would take 7 points from the first three games.😁

Hey Mike, I like the look of Burton away on 3/8, if you’re going can you get me a ticket please, if not hopefully I’ll be able to play on the day..., or maybe simply pay 😊

Wow great start to the season, really gives the club a chance to lay down a marker. It’s a win win situation for me. Anything from a 4 points up would be hailed a real success and if less than that it would be down to a tough start and we would all be positive. If we played so called lesser teams and started badly the doom and gloom brigade would be out in force.

Our team is already stronger than last season we should fear no one. COYB!

Bit early to say we’re stronger... the jury’s out until next season.

We still need to do some transfer business. And also have a good pre-season. For the players still here it must be good to get last season out of the way and wipe the slate clean.

Will see what I can do mate, we are Gold card holders which means we get ours as soon as they become available but I am sure they will go to general sale too, if so I'll sort one for you, we normally stand at Burton which I assume you would too ?

Yea, as I recall we stood behind the goal last time we were there. I am registered to buy ITFC tickets online but I suspect they won’t want to post to Spain.

These days it should be a "print off at home" process and scan yourself in, Charnwood. But I suppose it is Burton Albion; a shitty Ryman League outfit. Maybe they've not got scanners!

Can't speak for all clubs, but I'm sure posting out tickets is a fairly prehistoric procedure.

Print off at home? Come on marko keep up with the times! For the Nations League Finals UEFA sent the tickets to our smart phones.
That put me in a panic as I have enough trouble switching the bloody thing on and off!

No panic here though. By the time Scotland reach the Nations League Finals, I’ll own a smart robot. And that bstd can go get my ticket!

By the time Scotland reach any sort of final, UEFA will be teleporting fans to their seats. It will be beam me up Scotty or beam the Scotty up.

First thing is to pick out specific dates i.e. opening and final day, holidays, new year et cetera. Don't matter who we got first game, it were always going to be tough. Featuring in the FA Cup in November will seem awkward but so long as the team is still involved after new year is all important.

I like the look of the Shrewsbury games. Still some animosity on their part with that Hurst business and could prove lively when time arises. Couldn't give a rat's as* for the Check a Trade competition or whatever the damn thing is, and all ends with a final game at home with the ashes of Wimbledon. Why the hell they're still operating out of Milton Keynes is a mystery.

You look at the caliber of all opposition teams from August and while many will argue it seems fairly straight forward, have been with it long enough now to realize it'll be anything but. Promotion at first opportunity is near essential but in truth it could take further years to make it back to second league status.

I think it took Sheffield Utd nearly 7 seasons to get promoted back to the Championship , and only 2 or 3 from there to get promoted to PL. Not sure why Town spent nearly two decades in the Championship, as I don’t think Sheffield Utd spent especially heavily .

Not overly bothered if ITFCs involvement in the FA Cup starts & ends in November. Fairly confident Paul Lambert will be focussed 100% on the 46 league games, with a season objective minimum of 4th or above.

Always getting knockout of the FA cup at the 3rd round stage was always depressing, knocked out in the 3rd round this coming season would most likely be seen as a triumph.

Got a point there, never thought of it that way. To navigate two rounds irrespective of opposition would be seen as something of an achievement given this clubs total failure in the competition in most recent time.

Would imagine we're one of the leading contenders for promotion through various bookmakers although time to look showed Sunderland as perhaps favorites to do it (win league). Then again picked them out to do just that a year or two back, they (then) finished in end position.

Given the problems we have had playing against League 1 teams in the FA cup in recent years, maybe our new found status will give us a decent cup run for a change. I think League 1 sides get a big boost from cup runs. We have to stop thinking like we are not a League 1 side Marko.
