So What Happened
Between Lambert and Evans?
Didn’t notice anything at the game hopefully Lambert told Evans where to get off.

Re: So What Happened
Gills fans saying Lambert was being vocal all game and they both ended up having words. Evans was again less than complementary about our performance in his post match interview similar to when he was at Leeds. Slating our style. Strange comments as they lumped it all game.

Re: So What Happened
Got this off Twitter.
Town boss Paul Lambert has hit back at comments from Steve Evans after Blues’ win at Priestfield.
The Gillingham boss accused Paul of saying something during the game ‘that would concern somebody in the street, let alone a football manager trying to win a game’.
Evans also added that Paul said ‘you’re rubbish son in the direction of Jack Tucker when he kicks a ball out of the park’.
An angry Town boss told the Club website: “I have seen Steve Evans’ comments and they are disgraceful and a loads of lies.
“The abuse that was coming from their bench was vile.
“I have worked in the Premier League and I’m competitive and gone up against some great managers but I have always shown total respect throughout my career.
“I went to shake hands with Steve Evans at the end of the game and his assistant but they waved me away. That’s up to them but it shows a lack of respect and it’s not how I play the game.
“As for saying I spoke to one of the players the way he has suggested, complete rubbish and lies. I would never talk to a player like that. I went around saying ‘well played’ to their players after the game.
“What’s been said by Steve Evans is a disgrace and what I and my assistant Stuart Taylor had to put up with on the touchline was a disgrace as well.”

Tell me would you have at the EADT, who reported Lamberts words. Or is that just reserved for me?

Re: So What Happened
Whatever was mentioned hasn't been disclosed. Don't see what the big secret is, you get the impression almost it were something totally untoward but as neither is willing to elaborate guess everyone shall remain in the dark on the issue. Don't like to be messed around. Guess it's a personal thing and we should respect the opinions but any and all cloak and dagger business ongoing ideally needs to be left behind from the event.

We face Gillingham at home on Boxing Day, an appropriately named day for PL and Evans to lock horns again.

Re: So What Happened
It's 3 points for us so I don't know, maybe it's sour grapes as that was their first loss in 4 games.
