Re: JAN WINDOW (Transfer news)
I seriously doubt he would come back down South now. He wanted to return to Scotland , because of not seeing his little girl grow up. Wont happen in my view. Also , Berra isn't getting any younger and doesn't fit with the Club's long term plan ( developing our own academy players, and recruiting young player to further develop at the Club).

He will be gone before end Jan then. Hopefully the club sell quickly and let Lambert reinvest the cash in a decent player..... The longer it rumbles on the worse for us.

Re: JAN WINDOW (Transfer news)
The EADT says Town has 43 professionals on their books: This is a ridiculous number of players, all of which have to paid every month. Lambert really MUST try to trim thus squad.
Question . Can Town cut short a season long loan?
Anyway the player I personally feel we should try and get out the door are indicated ** ( interestingly a large proportion of the players Id want rid of their contracts end in 2021 anyway)
Taken from EADT ;
TOWN SQUAD
KEEPERS: Holy, **Norris, Przybek, Wright (inj)
RIGHT-BACKS: Vincent-Young (inj), Donacien, **Cotter, Andoh, Crowe
CENTRE-BACKS: Chambers, Woolfenden, Wilson, **Nsiala, Ndaba
LEFT-BACKS: Garbutt, Kenlock, Clements
WINGERS: Sears, **Edwards, **Judge, Rowe (inj), Lankester (inj), **Roberts, Dobra
CENTRE-MIDFIELDERS: Skuse, Downes, Nolan, Bishop, Huws, **Dozzell, El Mizouni, McGavin, Nydam (inj)
STRIKERS: Norwood, Jackson, Keane, **Drinan, Morris, **Folami
(I would look to keep Skuse/Chambers in a background role*)….(others get rid **)
TOWN CONTRACT EXPIRIES
Season loan: Norris, Garbutt
2020: *Skuse, **Edwards, **Dozzell, **Keane, Rowe, **Roberts, McGavin, Dobra, Clements
2021: *Chambers, Sears, **Judge, Holy, Jackson, **Bialkowski, **Wilson, **Nsiala, Nolan, Bishop, Donacien, **Huws, El Mizouni, **Cotter, Nydam, **Folami, Morris, **Drinan, Wright, Przybek, Andoh, Gibbs, Z.Brown, K.Brown
2022: Woolfenden, Downes, Norwood, Vincent-Young, Lankester, Kenlock, Ndaba, Crowe

Re: JAN WINDOW (Transfer news)
Would West Ham be willing to pay a ‘ridiculous’ fee for Downes?
That’s what Lambert has said. We’ll only sell for the right price.
West Ham have a new manager and they’re fighting relegation. That’s their priority. Do they really want to bring in a young player to fight relegation - and especially one who has to jump two divisions? I’m not sure Downes is the player that West Ham would want at the moment in their situation. He’d be one for the future.
If Downes is as good as we hope... hang on and develop and sell to the highest bidder at the right time.

Re: JAN WINDOW (Transfer news)
Maybe Morriss will be better than Folami. Morris seems to have bulked out during his injury in a good way and he might now be more suited to senior football. But these two are down the Striker pecking order. Drinan needs to go.Bluemike wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 6:17 pmHe's only just returned from a Sears like injury.

Re: JAN WINDOW (Transfer news)
You Have seen him 2 or 2 times, albeit a while bsck, there was one particular game where he came on and won a penalty, we were talking about how impressive he looked. He's not a big target man type striker but more a sears type I would suggest.hallamblue wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 5:02 pmI don't think Ive ever seen him play though Mike. seems to have been around for ever , yet never made senior squad....is he actually any good? That was around the time you were still heavily into the Black Stump as I recall so there is every likelihood it was nothing more than a haze mate....

Re: JAN WINDOW (Transfer news)
I note that both Dozzell and Dobra are out of contract in 2020.
I’m surprised we haven’t tied Dobra up with a new contract yet. The lad has shown potential and I’m a little surprised we haven’t used him from the bench when we were struggling to open teams up.
As for Dozzell, he could walk away in the summer. I think we’d pick up compensation from his next club due to his age - but what a waste from our point of view. We might as well have sold him a few years ago when he was hot property. I think we’ve offered him a new contract, but looks like he’s got a few more options as a free agent in the summer.

I thought Town had offered a contract to Dozzell - He just wont sign it!!
There's been rumours floating around for a while now that he's scum bound. Good riddance if he does decide to go there.
