That's a newsflash to me, Hallam. Never realised there was ever a yellow ITFC shirt.hallamblue wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 4:52 pm
Would actually love to see Town return to the classic away kit of pale yellow shirts with blue trim and blue shorts and yellow socks. It was like the kit Arsenal wore against us in the FA Cup final .
I had that kit as a kidhallamblue wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 4:52 pm

Hopefully will show Mills wearing the kit .... but it’s not actually a very good picturemarko69 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 5:20 pmThat's a newsflash to me, Hallam. Never realised there was ever a yellow ITFC shirt.hallamblue wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 4:52 pm

Town didn’t have any stars on the 1980/81 shirt Tang . It’s meant to commemorate the kit we wore for the UEFA Cup final .tangfastic wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 5:58 pmI notice they haven’t got the three stars above the badge. Anyone know if that’s been binned?

Thanks for that Hallam. Can see the shirt clear there and on TalBot further down the link. Never seen that shirt in my life. Learn something new everyday.hallamblue wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 9:01 pmHopefully will show Mills wearing the kit .... but it’s not actually a very good picture

Or. Maybe....., its good to actually have something to reminisce upon. It's a great history for a club, who in comparison with the big guns, is relatively small.saint jude wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2020 1:08 amMaybe I'd concentrate on the present and time ahead than reminiscing about distant achievements that may never be replicated.
Still think I'm dreaming with this. Obviously no "colour predjudice" (bad issue at the moment) in East Anglia. My God, if the green side of the 'Burgh rocked up in maroon <------- fking sack that!
Marko you will have to put a picture of you in Town kit as your aviator?marko69 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2020 7:15 amOr. Maybe....., its good to actually have something to reminisce upon. By the way, I've purchased the top and shorts. The badge is just too good. The top for leisure & shorts for playing 5"s in. £77 inc postage. Eternal thanks for the thread, Deeko Boy.
Hot dogs and beer on the front instead of Carers Trust works for me.Frosty wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 10:13 pmderick_ipsw wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 9:02 pmhttps://www.classicfootballshirts.co.uk ... -boys.html I hope this is the away shirt.
I don't really like that shirt Derick, got a bloody cupboard full similar looking ones for the NZ National team and they are absolute magnets for tomato sauce from Hotdogs and split beer.
I really like it and wish they’d bring it back . But I doubt they will . It’s from the 1970’s I think . Interesting that a few of the boys on here had it as their fav too. I think it’s a classic strip tbh .marko69 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2020 12:51 amThanks for that Hallam. Can see the shirt clear there and on TalBot further down the link. Never seen that shirt in my life. Yeah, I know that the stars weren’t on the 81 shirt, but I don’t think the stars have anything to do with a particular shirt or a badge - they’ve been there for years on all styles of shirts. So they could easily stick them on this shirt. I’d be in favour of leaving off the stars - make the current players earn the right to wear them if they want them back. We all know our glory days and it was legendary players from the past who earned them, not the current players.hallamblue wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 9:03 pmTown didn’t have any stars on the 1980/81 shirt Tang . And the kit ( badge) is being used as a one off for this season only . So guess we will return to our normal badge the season after next .
Something Town fans are incapable of doing I am afraid to say, we all love our history but the truth is it is like a ton weight around the necks of recent squads.hallamblue wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2020 3:14 pmHave to agree with you Tang. Maybe it’s almost an acceptance that it was all in the past. History is a fine thing ( if you’ve got it), but there comes a point where we have to look forward and not dwell on it anymore.
Well done all finance is welcome.
