Seems Tomas Holy is very highly thought of at Town. So beggars the question then, why didn’t he play much last season?

Quote from that article:

He’s been outstanding,” Walker said of Holy, who last week had his Town contract extended until the summer of 2022.

“I’ve told him, if he can get it right there’s no limit to how far he can go.”
End quote.

Really need to start calling out these managers & coaches when they talk. You just feckin said he was outstanding, Walker. He’s getting it right then, no? Jaysus H! 🤦‍♂️

Certainly hoping Ipswich can settle on a keeper and that player to keep the position for years. Who was the last undisputed regular? Richard Wright?

Arguably Bialkowski Marko. Not so long ago in fact although seems like a lifetime ago.

Had Holy played the whole season without being dropped we may well have made the play offs. In my opinion dropping him as Lambert did contributed to his loss of confidence and the teams loss of points.

Correct Andy, that is not in doubt, he made 2 mistakes at most, not bad when you compare it to Alan Judge's 2000.

I think there were plenty of strange decisions made by Lambert which contributed to us going backwards - this was just one of them.
If the budget is really tight - I wouldn’t bring in a second senior GK. Go with Holy and use one of the young GKs as backup. Save the budget for outfield players.

Adam Pryzbek looked a more than decent keeper at Peterborough last season, I would be more than happy to see him on the bench backing up Holy.

Strangely, Mike, Przybek didn’t get a squad number. Not sure what that means. Wright got a number.

Weird indeed, Wright appears to be quite small and by all accounts a bit of a tit.

Like a lot of players with potential, Morris, Folami, McGavin to name but 3, who didn't get a squad number, my guess is that they are planning to farm them out on season long loans perhaps? Players who need some game time but are down the pecking order and not ready to play a big role in League 1.

Folami is another who me has shown enough in glimpses to suggest he could well have a part to play, Morris needs a good long term loan following a terrible injury.
