Nobby Stiles RIP

Another of the 1966 world cup side lost RIP.

In the late 70’s Nobby Stiles had a decent spell managing Preston North End where I believe he succeeded former team mate Bobby Charlton. He later had a spell as Youth Team Coach at Man Utd at the time when the lines of Paul Scholes. Ryan Giggs, David Beckam & the Neville Brother etc were around and took a lot of the credit for their development. More recently he’s suffered serious health problems which may have been one of the reasons why he sold his World Cup Winners medal and European Cup Winners medal which I always think is sad.saint jude wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 1:02 amYou could argue the English would not have won the tournament back then if not for Stiles involvement. Must have won a hoard of domestic honors with Manchester United also. European Cup '68 et cetera.
