Agreed but Who should replace him ?

I agree with what zMills has just said . Why not try a change of system during the game ... 442 and have TWO strikers up front 🤷‍♀️
Id stick bennetts there and put jackson up front with norwood

Listening to this. Couldn't face paying another £10. Sounds the usual- plenty of possession, no cutting edge/creativity. Being out thought and out played by a better team. Despite good results so far we have only played well sporadically and rode our luck in many matches. Defensive errors +. Really similar to last season so I do expect to fall off the pace again. Missing influential players but God knows when they will be back. Prediction of 3 or 4 -0 seems likely.
Am settling for a lenghty stay in league one (Division3)

Lambert has got a lot wrong. But you can't blame him for no marking for 2 goals and an awful pass for the 3rd.

Our defense has been poor all season, its lamberts insistance on playing 433 which opens us up at the back, far too often ward and chambers caught out too high up. Its not poor marking, its the fact players are stretched.

You should’ve ended that post after the first 6 words.
Is anyone blaming him for the goals?
People are blaming him for not having a single iota of a f**king clue about piecing together HIS team to win. And the team was sh*te when the injured players were playing, so 🤷‍♂️

Lambert has done f*ck all right for YEARS. Literally Y E A R S!!

Get out. Fkn idiot.

But you must blame him for constantly playing poor performers (Judge) and not having a plan b. The buck stops with him I am afraid. And if he says we did really, really well I will scream! The players did OK tonight and sadly, we were not good enough. As Hallam says (and of you look back at just about everyone predictions - except mine!), we all thought we were in for a tonking cos that has been our experience for the past 3,4,5.....12 seasons! Its depressing but i am not sure what else we can do. I am ever the optimist and soooo want us to improve but it just feels like we are going nowhere, fast. Sad times i am afraid and no sign of them ending. However... with optimistic hat on again - win against charlton and start to pick up points and lets see what happens...!

Well you can to an extent. He takes training & picks the players. Sorry, but if you don't mark expect to get punished. If you can't pass then you shouldn't be on the pitch :astroll:

I'd forgotten Huws was still on the pitch til he just gave the ball away.

Poor second half.

We started the season well, getting players forward. It's why the midfielders we getting goals. But we are getting back to the McCarthy era of staying too deep.

Been too busy to participate only got the score a moment ago. A 3 - 0 deficit at home, seriously ? I thought they would test us but didn't expect to be so much out of it mid-way through second half. Usually now I'd root for the team to get back into it / turn it around but guess it's not going to happen. Make proper judgments when the game's over / got relevant stats and data, but seems Lambert getting berated once again.

On another point (not worth starting a thread for), I heard from an extremely unreliable source that some Emirates organisation is considering buying the club.

I don't want no Arab investment sorry. Well the game is over so it says. Thought there was more to come - not that it would do us much good.

It's right after the finish I won't make proper comment until viewing adequate response but first impressions is one of disappointment. We've punched above our weight often this season and perhaps got found out by a team that was ahead in terms of quality even before game start. The home record is obliterated but we were never going to go a whole season unbeaten here.

Most other results at the top go against us, no surprise, and interesting to learn the managers view on what occurred. Never wanted him here from day one, realized ahead of time it wasn't going to work and people turning against him more prevalent now. sh*t score, can only hope at least the team tried to get something from today.

We had a bright 20 minutes towards the end of the first half. Hull weren't great but we gave them 3 goals.

I can only reiterate my earlier comments. We need to get more bodies forward, Norwood looked sharp.to ight but was so isolated. And without Dozzell and Bishop (who us apparently out for a while) we lack.a creative spark.

I hate to say this while we are 5th but I have already given up on a top 6 finish. Our good start with good performances has gone. I know we have 10 injuries but we aren't going to score with one up front unless we get players in support.

We need to leave out Judge, Huws, Sears. They give us nothing. Lankester tonight did nothing either and gave away the 3rd goal. But I'd rather see the youngsters make mistakes than play the old guard who have done nothing for years (Sears) or ever (Judge and Huws).

Crewe are in the lower half of the table but they can play. They have a young side. They won't get relegated. I'd rather watch that than the old guard underperforming.

Unlike some of you guys I really didn’t expect that result tonight which is very disappointing. Yes I expected Hull to be a threat in front of goal, but I thought we would do better especially having only conceded one goal at home all season. If I believe what I read once again our manager has shown his tactical frailties which underline why his personal career has fallen so dramatically. My concern now is that the players will take a huge dent to their confidence and given how finely balanced this league is, it only takes two or three defeats and the team can easily find themselves circa 10th or thereabouts in the table.

Another difficult fixture looms on Saturday, let’s hope we can do better.
