So nearly 1-1 from Judge's header, good save, excellent free kick from Dozzell. People can say what they like but Chambers been our best player a distance. Judge nearly scored again !!! Should have

I think Judge has had a very good match so far. Working hard in defence, getting into scoring positions.

I’ll put money on it Norwood hamstring injury wasn’t fully rehabbed. It’s not unusual to be an 8 week plus rehab time . He wasn’t out that long I don’t think .

I like dozzell and mcgavin together. Both creative neat footballers. Need to be played together more often

Sorry but for me once again we don’t look like scoring a goal. Their Gk had been a virtual spectator . One up from for us isn’t working as the striker is isolated.
We are missing Bishop and Nolan getting forward in support. Can only see one winner today and they’re not having to work too hard for all 3 points are they

I agree. We aren't playing badly but we do need to get players forward in support more.hallamblue wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 4:54 pmSorry but for me once again we don’t look like scoring a goal. Their Gk had been a virtual spectator . One up from for us isn’t working as the striker is isolated.

My first ifollow match...observations so far.
We were in control until the goal! Defence looks weak though. Chambers is having a good game going forward, but maybe he needs to stay back and keep an eye on Woolfy and Toto. Cornell looks a bit shaky too. Ward's doing okay except for the goal.
Bennetts looks like a chicken with it's head cut off. Lots of pace, no final ball at all! We tend to cross the ball way too soon. Wingers should be surging to the goal line before crossing drawing defenders with them and allowing our players to get in better positions. Judge missed a sitter, but he almost scored with his head. Dozzell needs to get involved more. I like the addition of Drinan. I liked Gibbs sprinting back to cover his misplaced pass.
Poor old Norwood!
COYB!

Looks very even to me, not great deal between both teams. I agree Chambers looks good but if he drops and looks after the CB then we are then a even lighter force going forwards.
If it was 0-0 would totally agree but whilst losing may as well lost 2-0 as 1-0

Sadly Mike - i am beginning to feel the same way and the thought of freezing in portman road with 1999 others to watch this is not making my thrill circuits buzz... I feel more sorry for my daughters generation - 20 years of following Town and nothing to cheer about really. My my my we were lucky to see what we saw... and we didn't even know it at the time!

Re: Ipswich Town vs Charlton Athletic Preview & Matchday Thread
Apart from PL's now nose diving PR his problem is his reluctance to change systems.
Looks like every team now knows how to play against us. No matter who's playing it's the same oh, same oh..
Go two up front, for me this is Judges best game this season though that's not hard but really looks like he is putting a sift in

Hopefully Evans will sack him now, injuries or no injuries. This is utter garbage . We couldn’t knock the top off a rice pudding. Possess% means sod all. We have absolutely zero goal threat .
As for the increasing injuries .... well for me the players can not be conditioned correctly in training or rehabilitated right when they do get injuries .
The Club HAVE to get to the bottom of it and quickly.
