It's worrying that we haven't had a shot on target against a team who haven't kept a clean sheet all season.

We're going to sneak this 1-0 with our only shot on goal.

I think we are safe for a draw. We seem to have dragged them down to our level.

Bothers me that Dobra suddenly reappears after fans on this forum and others kick up about him being missing. Than 4-4-2 reappears after fans kick up about it. Is Lambert now taking his advice and tactics from fan forums. If so we are truly fooked

Other than dozzell there is no standout player. I cannot think of anything positive to say which is depressing.

Just catching up, not a single shot on target, but at least we’ve not conceded so there’s a bonus.

Two very poor sides. Second best in the first half but both equally poor second half. Keeper saved us on a couple of occasions. One of those games when we were 0-0 and we were lucky to score nil.

Trumpesque- Lambert thought Dobra should start and of course 4-4-2 is the better formation at times. Everything else is fake news!!

Passing accuracy 66%. So every third pass went astray. But essentially we played with 8 men. Bennetts,
Nolan and Lankester very poor.

Preston North End thumping recently relegated Bournemouth.
Every week there are a few results that makes you think...... “what’ve they got, what they doing that Ipswich haven’t been doing since Joe feckin Royle was in charge?!”

Made the mistake of listening to Lambert. Criticised the fans and media for slagging off the young players. I think we've been more critical of the more experienced players.
Once you start moaning about the fans it's time to go. First shot on target a weak effort after 90 minutes. 3 games without a goal. And the 2 in the game before that an own goal and a gift.

There’s an easy way to stop fans moaning and that’s by playing decent football. It’s as simple as that Mr Lambert.

Re: Oxford United vs Ipswich Town Preview & Matchday Thread
I see Lambert is quite cleverly now deflecting the fans anger away from him b6 accusing us of turning in the players , which
I don’t think is actually true.
...A man who knows he’s on borrowed time perhaps?

Opposition had more possession than us ! Read stats and the obligatory view of post-game response on TWTD. Something stood out about Lambert on Radio Suffolk giving an indifferent half-assed view on today's action. A no score draw between two struggling teams, in the managers defense guess there really isn't that much to say about the game. Lambert may well be pleased with avoiding defeat and taking a point from it, just the nature of some individuals.
How the f*ck the team occupies fifth place after the standard of a number of games and performances (we've) been involved with at this stage of the season is something of a mystery. Maybe the teams below really are of poor standard. Pity is had a change of personnel occurred in the summer both with manager and a number players in key areas the team could and should now be in the automatic places and looking good bet to remain there until end of season. Club is hitting above it's weight in this league, should have been straight forward after the fall from Championship level but there's too many different factors holding the team back.

These post-match comments by Lambert are getting worse. He’s now gone after the fans. Everyone is to blame apart from him.
We’ve got f*ck-all fans in the stadium, yet their negativity seems to be affecting the players. He’s sounding more ridiculous after every game and this can’t go on.

He sounds like a manger under extreme pressure, and it is getting to him. The strain was all too evident even on his face before he opened his mouth tbh. What followed next was almost irrational. I thinks he’s a dead man walking now.

Maybe more like a dead man running.... and screaming at ME to pull the trigger and pay him off. I feel he’s had enough and is wanting out. He’s ranting at everybody and making more and more enemies.God knows what the players are thinking. No one knows the clauses in his contract, but we do need a change now before we fall further behind. 10 points in our last 9 games.hallamblue wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2020 11:33 amHe sounds like a manger under extreme pressure, and it is getting to him. That’s been a year since he was getting arsey whilst answering phantom questions in pressers. Maybe he’s hearing fans at Portman Road even though they’re not there?tangfastic wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2020 10:11 amThese post-match comments by Lambert are getting worse. He’s now gone after the fans. In that case we might have to sell him for a pittance in January rather than lose him for nothing in the summer

Re: Oxford United vs Ipswich Town Preview & Matchday Thread
I thought the same thing. I think O'Neill and Evans have pumped Lambo full of hot air saying it's not your fault mate much the same way MM was backed until he quit. It's probably given Lambert a bit of confidence in himself, so he feels comfortable having a go at the press and the fans. His reaction is a bit juvenile to be honest, especially from a person who has "...played at big clubs and been the manager at big clubs...". If his post match comments are how he deals with pressure, I feel sorry for the youngsters who I'm sure are getting the same message. One thing I can't stand is when a manager starts making excuses for sh*t performances. Just get on with it, and do your best and shut the f*ck up!tangfastic wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2020 10:11 amWe’ve got f*ck-all fans in the stadium, yet their negativity seems to be affecting the players.
