Eddie Howe could do the same he did at Bournemouth if fancies a challenge.
Eddie Howe doesn’t need to take on a challenge like ITFC to prove his worth, he’s already done that with Bournemouth taking them from the brink of relegation from League Two to the Premier League, an achievement never been done before.

When he returns to football management it will most likely be in the Premier League or a top Championship Club. There would be no point whatsoever him risking his reputation at Portman Road.

Any recognized manager coming here now is a fantasy. We’re an average league one club with an average league one manager with an average league one squad. Sorry it’s the truth people. :astroll:

Wanted Howe a few years back but if we couldn't bring him in there and then there's little chance of that changing now. One last time will provide a mention to Ranieri. Before Leicester won the League Championship three, four years back they were (or still are) a club no bigger in stature or success than ourselves so if the Italian can go there and do a job / try his hand why not with us. Yes it's unlikely but not completely outside the boundaries of fiction.

As someone else put it we're not the most attractive proposition anymore. Don't know what the club debt amounts to but last look it was something substantial, we got an owner that for the most part sits on his as* and doesn't provide anywhere near sufficient funds to make the team competitive and just for good measure a succession of tried and failed managers since Royle and with it a club that has done next to nothing for the last fifteen years. If or when Lambert gets fired / walks away truth is we're going to have a pick of names that hardly inspires or could provide any real improvement on what's come before. Best guess the club needs to establish itself as a Championship league team once again but with the set-up we got right now just feel it's a long way off. The dead wood from within the club set-up needs to be removed before we can hope to move on or wish to challenge once again.

Sadly Andy you are spot on . I would love EH here but we are now no longer an attractive proposition for managers . We have become almost a grave yard for managers tbh .

Sitting in 6th place in the league ?
Play off position is not outwith the reach of ITFC this season despite all the negativity.
Get a full squad back fit and a couple of smart additions in Jan and its all to play for.
Ipswich are not average at League One level.
The real truth is that the fans need a wake up call about the realities of the club and have done for a long time.
The penny is starting to drop for a few but its a harsh lesson and didn't need to be !

You need a wake up call as to how crap we really are mate, clearly you don't see us on a regular basis. if at all, because if you did you wouldn't keep spewing out such bile.

We won't be sitting in 6th place much longer.
Even if we made the playoffs, our record in important games is appalling.
In my opinion, we are average with the injuries we have.
I think the majority of fans are completely aware of the realities of the club.
So here we go again on the MM mistake which has led to the downfall of our club. To be honest, if McCarthy hadn't been so unprofessional he might still be here. He quit remember? Go have a cup of tea and read the Pink Un mate. You'll feel better in the morning.

So, if the Club are “ not an average league one club”........ are within easy reach of a play off place........all to play for .....etc etc

Why then, do “ the fans need a wake up call about the realities of the club and have done for a long time. The penny is starting to drop for a few ......”

You appear to contradict yourself here.

I suggest that Town fans are very much clued in to how things are at our Club. We can see the same form as last season, repeating itself again ( it already is ), and when the Clubs in mid table have played their games in hand on us , we WILL slip to mid table. These are the realities.... perhaps YOU are needing to wake up?

Big Sam ....., to get the club back to the 2nd Tier.

People will suggest Garry Monk, but ----> NO!

It'll need a Big Sam, 'Arry, Warnock type to get out this league. IMO of course.
Big Sam to WBA after Bilic was emptied
