Town reject Plymouth bid for Donacian

...... Why ?
KVY unlikely to return I wonder ?
Offer not matching Evans valuation?

Contract runs out in the summer, so he has no valuation really. Strange one. Let him go if its true would not be missed.hallamblue wrote: ↑Fri Jan 15, 2021 9:16 pmTown reject Plymouth bid for Donacian

Re: Jan 2021 Transfer Window
Looks like KVY has had an injury setback so could be out for a bit longer. Can we rely on KVY and a 35 year old to stay fit? I guess that’s why we turned the Donacien offer down Maybe we should be looking at bringing a RB in?

Re: Jan 2021 Transfer Window
Yes Mike, possibly true. But for a player who seemingly had no injuries of note prior to signing for us, and his young age group , the question remains, why has he been out injury so long now?
It was a simply groin injury. Which was operated on and then he embarks upon the usual well documented rehab protocol. Even the much older Norwood is playing again after his. Then KVY gets a tendinopathy. Easily treated in the general population. So certainly treatable amongst elite athletes.
So what’s the problem / issue here? Why can’t this Club get him fit ?

Re: Jan 2021 Transfer Window
I hope we can get Josh Harrop from PNE and Luke Thomas in on loans it just might liven our flagging forward line, and make the others start to play better and with more flair

Re: Jan 2021 Transfer Window
It seems like Donacien, but I don’t think we can rely on KVY and a 35 year old to cover RB for the rest of the season. So many Sat/Tues matches. We could also just not add certain players into the squad to keep within the budget. Will Skuse recover for the remainder of the season?Maybe his last season and we could just put him on the coaching staff to coach sideways passing.hallamblue wrote: ↑Mon Jan 18, 2021 8:03 pmHarrop set to complete his loan move to Town tomorrow

It’ll probably be Donacien because there is interest there. Could be Jackson - he doesn’t fit into a Lambert system.

Re: Jan 2021 Transfer Window
Looking like Luke Thomas from Barnsley signing on loan too this week ( maybe also tomorrow like Harrop). Not sure if that means two out or reduced from the squad then .
I reckon we might hold onto Donacian now , if KVY continues to be sidelined . As you say , we’ve got no other cover for RB have we.
I’m wondering if we could drop Huws from the squad ? He’s just not doing it is he and costs a bloody fortune in wages.
Also with Harrop arriving , and potentially the Barnsley winger, where does this leave Judge ( undoubtedly another high earner)?

Re: Jan 2021 Transfer Window
I'll bet Lambert won't put them both in against Peterborough although their both fit, probably subs bench wait until we're 4-0 down then send them on hoping for a miracle recovery.hallamblue wrote: ↑Mon Jan 18, 2021 11:07 pmLooking like Luke Thomas from Barnsley signing on loan too this week ( maybe also tomorrow like Harrop). If he did he would have to drop his beloved judge so that is not going to happen.ashfordblue wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 1:09 amI'll bet Lambert won't put them both in against Peterborough although their both fit, probably subs bench wait until we're 4-0 down then send them on hoping for a miracle recovery.hallamblue wrote: ↑Mon Jan 18, 2021 11:07 pmLooking like Luke Thomas from Barnsley signing on loan too this week ( maybe also tomorrow like Harrop). Re: Jan 2021 Transfer Window
Luke Thomas is 21 so he shouldn’t count towards the salary cap restrictions. So it should be just one out to keep within the limits. I was also wondering about Huws - he seems shot as a player. I’d think I’d sacrifice a midfielder and hold onto Donacien as RB cover.hallamblue wrote: ↑Mon Jan 18, 2021 11:07 pmLooking like Luke Thomas from Barnsley signing on loan too this week ( maybe also tomorrow like Harrop). Przybek is 20 and so can be in the squad without counting as part of the 22-man limit - at the expense of Wright who is 22 and will presumably drop out of the squad.

Re: Jan 2021 Transfer Window
Is Wright in the squad? He was on loan before Christmas. I would have thought they wouldn’t waste a spot on Wright ( third /fourth choice GK). Pryzbek being recalled? Would there be any chance that one of Holy/Cornell leaving and Pryzbek as back up?Andym wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 4:37 pmhttps://www.twtd.co.uk/ipswich-town-new ... er-przybek

I liked the look of Pryzbek, would have in him for Cornell no problem.tangfastic wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 4:48 pmIs Wright in the squad? He was on loan before Christmas. I can't say I know much about this Thomas geezer but lets hope he has something to bring to the table.

Maybe his real name is JOHN THOMAS not Luke.tangfastic wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 4:56 pmAbsolutely. Some dubious bulges going on there.hallamblue wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 4:18 pmBarnsley winger ( Thomas), signing confirmed

Need to watch here......., we'll have Bluemike telling us we're overly interested!
Speaking of electrical tape though........., true story......., did you know Will Smith had to have his knob taped to his thigh while filming "Ali". Too much swinging about going on. Nice problem to have........, I can only imagine!

Re: Jan 2021 Transfer Window
I wonder what drew young Thomas to Ipswich over Sunderland? It's really a shame we still have to recruit midfield players outside of the club when we already have so many. It just goes to show the quality or lack thereof we currently have. I still think we desperately need defensive reinforcements! Has anyone heard any rumours as far as defenders are concerned? If anything you'd figure Lambert could figure out the defence.
