One common theme, most of the players already mentioned were hard as nails. It just seems like many of our youngsters are light weight except for Downes maybe. And when you add the amount of injuries to many of our youngsters, it begs the question is the academy molding the right type of player?

Should the academy focus more on strength and fitness, as opposed to skills and natural ability?

Yes. Get rid of Saint Kluggo and bring in Fatima Whitbread.

Can anyone recommend a solid resource to monitor our academy recruitment under the current regime? I’m just curious if the players we are now recruiting have distinct qualities and backgrounds different from the former…is ‘Flops’ too harsh? Cheers!
