Thought this was definitely going to be about Forfar with the heading.
Maybe the Loons were going to have new owners the same week as ITFC.

I thought this was now a Forfar website!
It could show how far we’ve fallen, but a lot of these threads end up as Forfar Athletic threads. No offence to the Loons - but surely there must be more to talk about in regards to ITFC. Maybe not - after the 0-0 horror draw at Rochdale and maybe the Loons were a welcome distraction.

A little bit surprised how quiet it is on the forum - even after the takeover news. Thought it would be buzzing - but maybe we’re trying to work it all out what we’ve got and where we’re at.

Lots of threads? Really? If that's the case I will refrain from mentioning them in future, my sincerest apologies.

Don''t worry about it - it was a light-hearted comment. Might even start looking out for the Loons if we stay in League One for much longer.

Yeah but its a Ipswich forum first and foremost and sometimes its easy to lose sight of it when chatting about other teams etc.

Easy. Make a Scottish Football Sticky thread. You, Marko, Ash, SJ and others like to talk about Scottish football. It could be a pleasant place to go to when ITFC matters get a tad depressing. Its not really a problem anyway.

Thought about that before but after consideration decided it wasn't worth the trouble or not necessary to implement. Point being how often does Scots 'football' news come to the fore. Anything relevant or worth of discussion is few and far between particuarly in a league where no-one outside of Celtic or Rangers have won the league championshp since 1985. (kids today would not believe it)

The national scene is all too non-eventful also, you got a team that has never progressed beyond the first round of any european or world tournament despite possessing an array of stellar and class names over enough years.

Bottom line and to encapsulate there's just simply not the preference for action from north of the border to maintain interest. Having three or four names or paticipants with an eager showing isn't enough.

Many times I’ve thought about starting a thread for the people who like to follow other clubs. It is a “general football chat” area after all.
But people can get wound up a bit easy. I do know myself and Wolfie talking about Hibs & Wolves respectively wasn’t tolerated at one time. It ties in with Ipswich playing poor. Usually people are like, “who gives a fk” or “fk off with that.”
Which is fair enough.

I do like to see Mike discussing the Loons and the hedge fuckwits etc...... I can relate to the places and it’s great and I can’t relate to the passionate rivalry. Can make for really decent conversation. For the record, quite a lot of decent Easter Road or Molineux chat has gone to pm to spare pissing people off. If Valleyroad wasn’t hung up on Mick McCarthy, I could discuss St Mirren for HOURS!
And Azzurro with his home town team etc. Just like to read about “stuff”.

And correct Tangfastic regarding this place being very VERY quiet after a takeover. I thought it’d be brimming with chat. Takeover & Paul Cook chat will take off over the summer, with half a million links to read.
