ITFC doesn't actually say why Marko, just say "Town were originally set to 'host' The Boro at Needham Market FC's Bloomfields but the League Two outfit have now pulled out of the fixture."

Re: Stevenage game called off
All for friendlies……. Great for the Cookie Monster to look at the squad and decipher his “11” (or Xl for those who prefer that)………, but not overly bothered about the “Boro” game being off.
Palace, The U’s and Meal-wawll are plenty enough (imo) for the pre-season. Fingers crossed none of the exciting new signings are crunched in these games.
Do apologise in advance if thats negative. Don’t mean to be. Nothing more irritating than a decent player being injured in a friendly.

They won't provide a definitive reason but all answers point to the pandemic issue. It's OK to host an international competition across all parts of Europe, tens of thousands in attendance, many without protective covering, but an obscure kick-about game in leafy Hertfordshire can't go ahead ?
No offense to the caliber of these opposition but years back (virus issue notwithstanding) we'd play some more high profile games against recognized continental names, recent times we take in a trip of Ireland to some Gaelic teams you can't quite remember or the pinnacle names of Barnet, Cambridge and Chelmsford et cetera. It's either the club wants to take it easy or we're unable to no longer pull in more glamorous opposition.
