Should be an interesting game today and a chance to see the new and improved Ipswich Town. Seeing how we fare against a Premier League side will be good, though not too much should be read into a friendly result i feel.
Hopefully we will see a more exciting playing style, but on the reverse, how our defence (with no new additions to its heart) will handle the pace & trickery of the likes of Zaha. Much has been mentioned of the lack of a new experienced CB, but perhaps with a better quality defensive midfielder and what appears to be a decent keeper now, our defence may grow in confidence.
Enjoy the game, those of you going. Will look forward to hearing your views later.

Hey Azzurro……. Thinking if a Jack Ross Hibs side can defeat a very decent Arteta Arsenal side (at home)……. Then a newly formed Cookie Monster side can do a number on a Vieira Palace side (at home)

Tuesday 26th November 2019. Ipswich 0 Wycombe Wanderers 0. The last time I visited Portman Road. The last 18 months have been very hard for me.
I am so excited to be going back today. I live 5 minutes from the Ground and I pass by it every day on the Bus to Work. I can't wait to get back inside my Happy Place.

Pleased for you and like minded fans. It must have been torture passing the ground every day? Let's hope the new team make up for that lost time.lucy wrote: ↑Sat Jul 24, 2021 12:00 pmTuesday 26th November 2019. Ipswich 0 Wycombe Wanderers 0. The last time I visited Portman Road. It was worse going there in January and testing positive for Covid. There is a mobile testing site in the Car Park.AzzurroMark wrote: ↑Sat Jul 24, 2021 12:17 pmPleased for you and like minded fans. Re: ITFC v Palace
Just remember those that live within close proximity to the stadium. You have a certain privilege that many are unable. All right crowds haven't been allowed in as they should given the circumstances but it's there, on your door, so to speak, you carry the wishes and ambitions of others that can't attend particularly as regular as may be possible.
Should be good for the new look squad to face off with a Premier League outfit, would imagine Cook will field as many of the new signings / loans as he is able. Won't be overly upset to be beaten, they're two leagues above us after all (and) furthermore it's a pre-season runabout, no-one's going to be giving 100 per cent or fully committed to the cause. Would wish for a win or if not that, positive score / performance all the same. Two teams years back on the wrong end of a 9 - 0 score, which invariably comes to the fore whenever we play each other.

Trust me living so close to the Stadium I have felt very privileged at times and also very . At least when I did watch if it was a poor Game I didn't have far to walk Home.marko69 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 24, 2021 1:37 pmThere is a statement that’d never in a million years be said to Hibs supporters.saint jude wrote: ↑Sat Jul 24, 2021 1:30 pmJust remember those that live within close proximity to the stadium. Re: ITFC v Palace
Think most will be incredibly pi$$ed off if KVY picks up a knock or something more serious. Snowflake that he is.
And edit to add......., Nsiala? I mean, yes, he can do a job etc and he can be a favourite for fans....... But after two months of close season, can the club not find someone a bit better? Someone who makes you feel they aren't minutes away from an absolute f**king howler?

Bonagen is apparently a misspelt Donacien.
Evans injured?

As for Evans, must be a concern if he is injured already.

Good start to the Game. I like the look of Wes Burns and our Number 2 but I don't know his name

It looked like a 7 I think it's Kane Vincent Young. The Normal Squad Numbers aren't being used. But anyway good start to Game although Palace should of scored.

Re: ITFC v Palace
Decent enough performance, really like the look of Wes Burns, Jon Piggot and Hladky in goal, Burns has really good movement and a good cross on him, Toto at the back has been solid and made Two or Three very timely blocks. Its a pretty strong Palace team and considering it's pretty much the first time our boys have played together its been encouraging so far.
Heard some worrying news that Evans has done his Achilles and its not great hopefully its bull but knowing our luck.....

I hope it’s not serious with Evans. He’d be a big player for us in that midfield.

Paul Cook not afraid to shout either. I'm in the Co-Op Stand Upper Tier and can hear him Word for Word.

Ipswich 0 Palace 1 Zaha Penalty. To be fair they could easily be 2/3-0 ahead.
